Need some rest, time to be still, or peace? We get it, and we’ve got just the ticket — DaySpring’s new Devotional Coloring Book: Finding Peace in God’s Embrace. We’d love to share an excerpt with you today! Relax and let your heart be refreshed.
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest.”
Matthew 11:28 MSG
Life can get incredibly hectic, leaving you feeling worn out and overwhelmed. Maybe you rush from one task to the next, forgetting to take a moment to simply breathe and rest. But God invites you to find true rest in His presence. What is true rest? Imagine lying in a hammock by a serene lake, its gentle sway and the calmness of the water bringing peace to your soul. This is the kind of rest God offers you — a deep, soul-refreshing peace.
In Matthew 11:28, Jesus extends a beautiful invitation to come to Him, to find true rest in Him. He understands your need for rest and offers you a place of refuge in His presence. Just like the hammock by the lake, God’s presence provides a safe haven where you can let go of your worries and simply be.
Think about how you feel when you settle into a peaceful place or wrap yourself up in a warm blanket. Think about the way comfort cradles you in this safe space or how a gentle breeze surrounds you and helps you relax. This is a way to imagine how God’s presence envelops you, giving you the rest you so desperately need. In these quiet moments with Him, you find your strength renewed and your heart refreshed.
No matter how busy life gets, take time to rest in God’s presence. Let Him cradle you in His love and peace. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, and let His presence restore your soul. You’ll find that this rest is not just a pause from life’s demands but a source of true renewal and peace.
Lord, help me to find rest in your presence. Remind me to pause and seek you when life gets overwhelming, so that I can be refreshed and renewed by your peace. Amen.

What a blessing to see this offer on my birthday. The perfect book to savor in as I wind down my busy day.
I love this. Rest is something that does not come easy to me and definitely something we all San Christians need. But not rest in the terms we know in our mortal bodies but rest that comes from above, the source of true rest for our souls and spirit.
What a beautiful way for respite with the Lord! Thank you for sharing this way to be close to God!
Thank you for offering a giveaway!!
Blessings, Laura
I love this devotional, I’m reminded of this verse in Isaiah 26:3 NLT
“You will keep in perfect peace, all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
What a comforting listen this was! Anxiety filled afternoons deserve a summer slow down for sure.
On Tuesday of this week I retired after 35 years in education. It was a hard decision, but it’s time for me to rest. Coloring was something I did with my first grade students nearly every day. This looks like a wonderful book!
Excited for this devo!
In this world is unrest and loudness that is causing anxiety and fear. As Believers, we should seek and make room for a time of calm and quietness with God where we can hear the Holy Spirit whispering in our ear instructions and guidance in our lives as well as others around us.
As a young mom, it’s hard to find the time to spend with God and even harder to turn off my brain and be still. This coloring book would be such a blessing and an answer to my prayers.
I could use a peaceful time with God and this coloring book sounds refreshing. I hope I win one. Thank you for the opportunity.
A lovely composition!
Thank you for this opportunity to receive a new coloring book that teaches me Bible Scriptures, Bible Principles and Bible Precepts.
I will have my Crayola ready.

Incorporating devotion with this practice sounds amazing
Thanks for all that you do
What a lovely idea. I have found resting to be a real challenge but something I so desperately need. Tapping into my creative side draws me to Creator God in a deep way. Thank you for this.
This looks like a very beautiful and inspirational way to spend time in God’s Word. The spiral bound presentation is a nice presentation. Thank you for the opportunity to win one.
Taking time to rest and to breathe has been my focus for this year. So, this post was very timely and helpful. The verse from Matthew is one of my memory verses. I love the idea of pairing devotional readings with coloring pages!
This is one of the ways I relax in the evenings.
Thank you for the opportunity to win this. Coloring has been one of my favorite pastimes to stay calm and reflect on life.
Thank you for this reminder that we to take time to rest. What a beautiful way to wind down, rest and reflect on God’s word. I would love to receive a copy of this coloring book/ devotional.
Would love to have this coloring devotional! Thank you for always encouraging me.
This looks beautiful and fun and bring peace in God’s presence. Unfortunately, I had covid 2 years ago and it affected my hands terribly, so much so that I have trouble writing my checks. It is long haul covid and the doctors said it might go away or not and I am in the “not season”. I struggle, had PT, but it did not help. I do think that any of you wonderful women have this problem with resting like I do, I think it would be a great idea to try……….Betsy
God bless you and your readers with His true rest, in His presence, where there is ‘fullness of joy’.
God bless you and your readers with His true rest, in His presence, where there is ‘fullness of joy’ and peace.
What a lovely idea! Thank you for the opportunity!
Ahhhh… just the reminder I need!
I am a parish assistant at a Lutheran Church in Illinois. We are a fairly small congregation with 600+ listed members but average 250 weekly attendance. New Pastor in 2023 when our former pastor and parish assistant both retired. Work here is stressful but rewarding and I know I’m right where God wants me to be in serving this church. But life outside of these walls is also very busy and stressfull. Your ad for the coloring book caught my eye. If I don’t win a free one, I will probably be ordering one anyway. Maybe even give it to a friend. Thanks for the offer. 🙂
I’m in a season of life where I’m really craving the deep sense of peace that Christ alone provides! This coloring book devotional is such a beautiful resource.
This is what I need—a real rest that only God provides.
What a beautiful reminder of the true rest that comes from our Lord.
I’m so thankful that I have found this daily devotional to start out my day just right with the Lord! It helps me to keep my eye on God and not only focused on what the world has in store for me each day! Thank you!
I would love this! Thanks for the opportunity!
Recovering from abuse and I have been working on being still with God. Would love to try this devotional book and share it with the women I minister with also.
Thank you.
Hi
I would love to receive a copy.
I’m sitting in a hospital bed, at God’s feet, recovering from burnout.
Thanks Gail
I love the imagery of experiencing God’s presence like a warm blanket wrapped around me. His all encompassing, warming, comforting embrace is what my body-soul-spirit needs. Thank you for this wonderful reminder to rest again in HIS arms.
Love the phrase “pause with a purpose”. Whether I read my Bible, walk outside enjoying God’s creation, listen to your podcast or some Christian song or stop in the busyness of my day to thank Jesus and tell Him how much I love Him. Intentionally pausing with purpose is important to my spiritual, physical and mental wellbeing.
Love a good devotional and love to color! Thank you for pairing the two ❤️
Great word, everyone needs Gods rest!
Finding a few minutes to spend with Jesus not only lightens our load today,
but also prepares us for the blessed reality of spending a peaceful eternity with Him tomorrow.
I have seen other color pages, but they were not Christ centered.
We all need peace and rest. Have several friends going through some very difficult times. Times of family turmoil and loss. These books would be a balm to their souls.
Just finished chemotherapy and brain surgery. I’m still recovering from nerve damage so coloring would be a way to practice with my hands.
i love the devotionals i receive from dayspring. they encourage me so much
I love coloring books and I love scripture. Tha k you so much for this opportunity .
Our adult son has been homeless for 10 years. Finding rest and peace doesn’t come easily. I’m a retired teacher and coloring is such a joy. My refrigerator used to be filled with my sons artistic accomplishments! Now it’s my turn to show off my coloring! ‘Thou will keep me in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.’
I know the “perfect person” to whom I’d give the book if I was to be one of the five. Thank you for considering me.
Such a cool idea! Thanks for the opportunity with the giveaway.
In 2002, adult coloring books, people praying for me in 5 different countries and God’s word (my well-worn confirmation Bible) helped me to process and find a sense of peace while undergoing treatment for stage 4 breast cancer. Today I am so very grateful to have passed the expected 5-year survival rate and have gone on to fulfill many dreams for my life. I would love to own this beautiful book so that I could continue the coloring tradition with my granddaughter and perhaps instill in her that same peace as she undergoes challenges in her own life.
This would be something different for sure. And coloring is one way to rest and think too.
I’m working with a few patients with PTSD. These are great for their therapy!
I would love to win this! Please enter me in the drawing. Thank you.
Ooh! I love the idea of a devotional coloring book! I love your devotions and coloring!
I think we could all use a little peace in our lives. I think this would be a wonderful way to focus on the scripture verse. It would be good for me, but I also know my sister loves to color and does it beautifully and so would like it too. God bless.
I think we could all use a little peace in our lives. I think my sister and I would both enjoy a book like this. God bless.
Looks to be a lovely way to create space for reflection and creativity
