  1. This is the first time I am hearing about Rememorari Divina. Just doing the small exercise in the devotional was beautiful and refreshing. It is something I plan to put into practice right away. I plan to share it with my support group of breast cancer survivors because I can see where it can bring healing into the memories associated with a journey that is very traumatic. Thank you so much for sharing this with the incourage community!

    • Alecia, I am so happy that you found it helpful today, and humbled to think it might be helpful in a communal way with your support group of breast cancer survivors. I’m so glad you are here.

  2. As a small girl of 7 I recall the precious moments in God’s Word when I was quite tempted to believe I was alone and on my own. I looked to the Psalms to show me how to think. I was not sure where to find the stories of God’s great power and deliverance for the Israelites, but as I turned the pages, I found it. Those were wonderful words to console my heart and give me rest in my soul.

The people (in Ps. 78) must have been amazed at God’s provision for them. However, in v 30-34 we see how the Lord had to deal with their unbelief. Finally, they remembered that God was their rock! He was merciful, forgiving and longsuffering. He cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillfull hands.

When I read these truths, I prayed in thanksgiving to the Lord for caring for me and my little brother so far from home. That was 1949… I am still comforted and encouraged as I remember how HOLY and SOVEREIGN my God truly is!

Thank you for sharing your story with us. What joy is ours to have salvation and to know the Savior as we do!

    Carleen
