  1. Dear Lauren…………..Your story today touched my heart as I have been waiting for many years for my complicated situations would finally be resolved. I know that God works on His timeline and over my life ( 77 years old ), I have had many wonderful conclusions, but this one is the most heartbeaking one for me. My son dismissed me as his mother and told me I could never see or hear from my 1 grandchild ever again and hung up on me. My grandchild was 11 at the time and is now approaching his 15th birthday. They intercept all the cards I send to him, destroy them before he gets home from school and then tell him for instance, “See, Gram doesn’t even care about you. She never even sent you a card. ” My ex-husband has dementia and tried to kill me so I had to get him evicted from our house of 40 years. Both my husband and my son told me I was lying about him being ill, but my son found out his father was really sick, he knew I was not lying to him. He still did not come back. For many years I have prayed and prayed and prayed. No answer. I still have hope that “my peach tree will come back to me”. My grandchild is the love of my life and this is not something I can forget or say Ok, that is fine. Thank you for your story today. It really helped to make me feel a little better. My love and prayers go out to you. Happy Valentine’s Day, a day late and have a blessed weekend………………..Betsy Basile

  2. “The toiling is not for nothing.” A much needed reminder to keep hoping, praying, and trusting. I may not now or ever in my lifetime see the work God is doing but it will happen.

  3. This HITS home in so many ways. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this story and truth just at the right time. Keep hoping. Keep dancing. Keep the faith.

    In joy,

  4. Lauren, you know how to evoke the depths of the human heart in a way so few have the ability to. You are a gift, a light, a joy and a heart full of hope. Thank you for this piece. I needed it as I weather my own winter and waiting for the fruit to bear on the tree again.

  5. I am in the midst of a storm and feeling overwhelmed. I do not want to lose my sister but I cannot thrive in this storm. Thank you
Praying the Holy Spirit will give me words and actions so fruit will bear again

  6. Thank you for this beautifully written devotion.
The seeds we plant for the Lord are so important.
We may never see the harvest, but God delivers
    in His time.
    Blessings to you

  7. Lauren,

God is constantly working in & through us. Paul said it best in 1 Corinthians 3:6-8 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. Keep on sowing seeds of love. You will see the fruits of your labor down the road.

    Blessings 🙂

  8. THANKS Lauren for sharing your story of the peach tree with us: that there is HOPE in the seeds we have faithfully sown, the toiling is not for nothing AND the generations beyond will see the fruit of your faithfulness! There is no greater JOY, nor greater reward, than to make a difference in someone’s life!!! Dancing with you, God Bless!
