“I call on you, my God, for you will answer me;
turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.”
Psalm 17:6 NIV
Here we are, just a few days into the new year. Maybe you’re trying to find your rhythm after the holidays. Perhaps you’re energized, setting goals and making plans. Or maybe you feel overwhelmed, longing to pull the covers back over your head and hit pause on it all.
Wherever you find yourself on this fifth day of 2025, one thing remains constant: prayer is worthy of our time and attention.
Prayer is God’s invitation to draw near, to connect our hearts to His. It’s a lifeline of hope, turning our focus from us to Him — from our struggles to His faithfulness, from our fears to His perfect peace. Prayer shifts us from wallowing to worshiping, from dwelling on what we lack to praising Christ for His sufficiency.
Prayer is not a monologue but a conversation. It’s a sacred space where our requests can rise and our hearts can rest, knowing we are heard.
God hears you, friend. He sees you. And His ear is inclined to the cries of your heart.
Let’s pause together today. Share your prayer requests in the comments, and then take a moment to lift up the woman who commented before you. Let’s carry each other’s burdens to the throne of grace and celebrate the promise that God not only hears us — He answers.
What a privilege to stand together as sisters, united in faith and prayer.
You are not alone. Let’s pray.

To let pain and hurt of the past go
Sharon says
Often this is an ongoing process, because we, as humans, cannot unsee what we have seen, unhear what we have heard. So as the memories return, we forgive AND give them over to God again and again. Actually opening our clenched fists that are holding on so tightly to the past. Over time the memories begin to fade into the background as we celebrate the present, experiencing the freedom of fingertips open wide to receive His blessings
Sharon says
Prayer for resolution to misunderstandings between a daughter and we, her parents. Many miles between us (we in US and she in Austria), but lately the door of communication is beginning to open. Prayer that perceptions will be replaced by reality – for all of us!
Sadie says
Praying for you and your family and restoration! It happened to us and it was Gods timing along with prayer. Blessings ❤️
Stacy says
My relationship with my son in law. I don’t know how to deal with a narcissistic person. Prayers also for my daughter and 2 grandsons that live in his unrealistic world.
Joanie says
I completely understand your frustrations. I too, have a daughter and her baby(not theirs) that have suffered so much. I pray that you will find a way to just pray over it, set boundaries for your home, and just be there for both your daughter and grandchildren to vent when they need to.
My grand baby is now 5, but when she stays over with me she knows she’s safe to talk and she gets it off her when we are winding down and before prayers.
I know this is a difficult situation. Trust me! I know!
Lord, I pray that Stacy can find peace in such a difficult situation. I pray for your constant protection for her family and that, you Lord, will interviene and cause this situation to turn around, in the way in which you Lord, find is righteous.
I pray that you know you are also not alone. You are love and therefore you are loved in such a struggle as difficult as this. God bless you and keep you always. Amen
Linda says
I, too, understand the pain of a daughter with a husband who only can think of himself. My daughter and her 4 young children are constantly on my heart. I have to continue to remind myself that God loves them more than I do and that He promises me as His daughter that “all” things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
So we will continue to look to Him for deliverance, salvations, perseverance and the encouragement to sustain us that comes from Him. He is the Sovereign Lord and nothing is too hard for Him.
Joanie says
Struggling to know and believe I am enough. To know I deserve better than the bruises and brokenness I keep enduring. To know and believe that I am a daughter of the most high God, and that He says I am loved. And to know I will have a place to call home.
I also request prayer for weight induced health problems, high blood pressure, pre diabetes, and the wide spread pain of fibromyalgia and from this broken body.
Prayers to all that know the pain. You are not alone. And together we will be whole again. We will know our worth and we will sleigh the dragons we call our captors.
Sadie says
Yes! You are enough.. Jesus said it from the cross on Calvary.. It is finished! Satan lost and you are perfect so trust and KNOW Gods got His hands in all of your situations ❤️
Jenny says
I pray that God gives you a fresh revelation of who you are as a daughter of God, and just like He did with the women with the issue of blood, you would know that you are healed, being made whole, and hear him call you His. Zephaniah 3:17

I am always thankful for your readings. Today I ask for prayer that God would continue to heal my body of breast cancer. Also, that we would have safety in travel as we go on a week’s vacation tomorrow and come home on the 14th for a trip to San Diego. Treatment has made my ankles stiff so walking is more difficult. Also, our high functioning autistic son will be home alone for the first time for that length of time. Please pray he does well. He has a job and continues to grow and learn. This is our first vacation alone since our honeymoon 24 years ago. Thanks for praying!
Kerri says
Prayers for safe travels and an enjoyable trip. I also pray that you will know the peace that God is always with your son, even when you can’t be there. God will watch over and protect him at home and you on your trip. Also prayers for continued healing from breast cancer and strength in your body to enjoy your trip. Amen!

Please pray that the Lord will give me guidance and clarity that im making a right decision and lead me where my family’s path is supposed to go.
Jenny says
Praying for God’s wisdom and direction. I pray that as you abide in Him, you would experience clarity and peace as you step out in faith.
Dawn Ferguson-Little says
You know what pausing for prayer means to me as follower of Jesus. It means me spending time with God. Not getting wrapped in the business of my day that I get to tired to spend time with God. Praying for people in our world less well of than me. Plus the unsaved I know. Praying for God to give me the strength to do everything in his name. Asking God to forgive me if I know I have sinned help me not to do it again. Live everyday as his word says. Also praying for the percuted church. Thanking God for all he has done in my life etc. Prayer is parful. God might not answer you the way you want him too or as quickly as you like him to for your prayer needs. God when times like that is saying to me you have to trust me I know best and I can be testing you by making you wait before I answer your prayer requests. To see even if you have to wait a while to get answer from me God. You still put your trust in me and don’t take your eyes of me. At the time we can think our ways are better. But in the end when we keep our faith on God. We see in the end rather than thinking our way being best. God ways were the best of all. As God knows us better than anyone else. So he knows what is best of us. Also not getting disappointed if God doesn’t answer our prayer at all. God sometimes doesn’t answer us because God knows that what we have asked prayer for might not be good for us. So God says no I’m not going to answer that prayer you wanted me to. Down the line you see God was right not to answer that prayer requests we ask him about. Yes it can be hard to hear no I am not going to answer you. Like a child when it’s birth parents have to say no to something they want or wanted their parents to do for them. That parent knows saying no is best. The child might not like the parent not giving them what they have asked for or doing what they want for them. Yes they might get annoyed if r cry. But they like our Heavenly Father they know what is best for us. Even if it is a No. Sometimes it hard is to accept but we have to. It could be a while before we see our parents or our Heavenly Father were right to say no. Yes it is nice to get a yes. Even if from our birth parents or God. We can then thank God for that answered prayer if was his will. Thank him or our parents saying yes. We then can rejoice. So God only like or birth parents say yes if right for us. Love today reading. Thank you Incourage. Keeping you all in prayer. Love Dawn Ferguson-Little Enniskillen Co.Fermanagh N.Ireland xx

I am praying for discernment and opportunities for a career change this year. I have felt the need for this for a few years but it’s challenging to find a new opportunity that meets the needs of my family and my personal goals.
My current position causes me a lot of stress and anxiety, which come out in the form of panic attacks. I am trying to continue my work while dealing with the anxiety and panic but it makes the day to day hard, not to mention searching for a new position.
Prayers for relief from anxiety and panic and new opportunities would be much appreciated.
Maura says
Kerri, being in a job that drains your spirit is so tough. For years I worked such a job, and when faced with caring for my well-being came to a head, I quit. I had the support of my husband and family because my misery was spilling into my home life. We had to make a change in our lifestyle and spending, but the benefit was worth it for us. This is not to say you should do the same, but to let you I empathize with your struggle and that when I asked God what I should do, the answer to quit was not what I expected. Keep an open mind to His direction because his ways are truly mysterious.
God, I know you will direct Kerri’s path and give her rest from her anxiety. You see her need, and your peace and comfort will surround her each day as she eagerly awaits the opportunity you have for her.

My beautiful Mom passed away January 2, 2025, at 91 short years. God gave us Christmas and New Years. I know she was ready to go home and be with Jesus and my Dad, but how can you ever be ready to let go of your Mom? My heart is broken, and I miss her terribly. She was and is an Angel. I pray for all those that have recently lost a loved one. I pray for God’s comfort, peace & strength for the coming days for myself and my family.
Indiane says
I’m so sorry about the loss of your mom. We are never, ever ready to let go of our moms. No one ever tells us how hard it is. Moms hold a place in our hearts that no one else ever can and that place is theirs alone. Moms leave us certain feelings and memories and wisdom. Though physically gone we still have those things tucked away. The first year after my mom passed seemed like a blur. (My sisters and I took 24/7 care of her for her last year. She passed in 2023 at 96 1/2.) Grief has no timeline. A memory, a place or even a food triggers it for me. Sometimes it makes me cry and at other times makes me smile. And it’s ok. I think we feel the most for those we love the most. Just as you are I completely depended on God’s love and comfort then just as I do now. God sees how we’re feeling and sends us what we need just when we need it. Praying for fond memories of your sweet mom and all of God’s blessings for you and your family, BC.

Please pray for my teenage son who suffers from social anxiety. Pray for wisdom to know what road to take with his schooling.
Chris says
O God, I come on behalf of Caz. As a loving parent who see and suffers right along with their child, I’m praying for calm, peace, and your divine antidote for anxiety. Your word says that we can be anxious for nothing. So the possibility is real. I’m asking and trusting you to set situations in motion to put this teenager in the position for a divine appointment with another who will be instrumental in his deliverance from anxiety. Grant Caz Your wise counsel to be guided on the path of your perfect will. Thank you, in advance, for answered prayer. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

First off, I just want to extend prayer for all the prayer requests in the comments before mine and after my comment. I pray that God is with each and every one of your needs and provides whatever help is needed in those seasons of life. I pray that each of you are able to feel His presence.
Also, I just want to pray for a great new year ahead and for better/improved health for my family and I. I’m still battling some ongoing health issues and some days can be really challenging because of that. Also, some members of family have had some health issues recently and I just ask for healing for that need as well.
Lastly, I hope everyone is able to have a great new year ahead and one that is full of blessings.

Louise Bell says
This “post’ is a wonderful idea and obviously a very poignant way to express the many prayer needs of many wonderul women!I Hope I am not too late because I just NOW(4p.m. Indiana time) saw this. My older brother who lives in Texas has been in the hospital for 4 days now and is in VERY Serious condition . Think many of his health problems came from the Viet Nam war! So, I am asking for many prayers for him to heal since we are having a huge snow storm over many states, we are not able to go see him. Also, please pray for the weather to abate so that we CAN make a trip (from Indiana) to see him. We just don’t know if he will be able to survive at this point! Thanking you in advance and praying for any and all of your prayer requests!! Stay Blessed, Louise

Please pray for financial and healing breakthroughs. Thank you!
Ruth Mills says
Dearest heavenly Father, I don’t know the specifics of what makes up Rebecca’s need for financial & healing breakthroughs BUT YOU do. Be tangible to her. Surround her with a peace that You are not only capable of meeting her needs but You want to lavish Your provisions & promises on her. May her faith roots be deepening & may You be magnified in & through her that not only she but those around her will praise Your name. Expand her trust in You & Your kingdom through her journey. Thank You for seeing & hearing our cries. In the name, power, authority & affection of Jesus I pray. Amen. (((0)))

The volume of my job has increased. I work for home so I can work at any hour & as many hours as I need to get the work finished. I find I am putting in way more than 60-80 hours per week. My husband of 55 years passed on September 13 and I am struggling with loneliness that leaves me hurting physically.
Donna G. says
Father of all comfort ❤️ thank you for graciously giving Marcia love & companionship for such a long time!! Wow! Your blessings & faithfulness to her & her family thru such a lengthy covenant bond is enough to praise You! Thank you for bringing them to each other & guiding them with Your wisdom from above. Lord, You know exactly what Marcia is going through after losing her husband of 55 years – the emotional, psychological and even physical pain she is experiencing. Would you comfort her, our Father, in ways only You know how – through your Word, through Your people, through your Holy Spirit’s presence & healing touch, whatever that looks like. Would You remind her of the love & care You have for her. Please help turn her eyes toward You in this time of great grief, in thanksgiving, in praise and in longing. Would she pour her heart out to You and find You near to her broken heart. Would she know You & Your love more intimately even as she grieves her loss. Would fellow believers in her life come around her & remind her of your goodness. Lord, we know You are walking with her in this valley!! And we thank You for Your presence, Your strength & Your comfort.
Thank you Lord for hearing the prayers of your people. Thank you for being a good and generous God that cares for us intimately. Thank you for all your blessings! Help us to be grateful for everything you give us in Christ. In Jesus’s name, amen !
Donna Weber says
Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up Ruth right now. Please help her to be wise in how
she spends her time for work & for home. Help her to first come to You each morning, asking for guidance & giving her day to You. Even tho working from home sounds so wonderful, it can be quite challenging! My daughter is going through the same thing, as you are Ruth so I can understand. Allow God to fill you with His peace & guidance. Lift up all that you need to do to God & He will guide you.
My prayer request is for God’s healing touch throughout my body. Right now the challenge is healing from left thumb & wrist surgery. Also, bleeding in my left eye retina. Pray that I can get in to see the retina specialist ASAP this week. Please also pray for my husband still recovering from brain surgery January 2024 where a shunt was put in his brain to limit too much fluid. He is still dealing with balance & walking issues. Thank you & Praise God!!
Donna G. says
Jehova Rapha Lord, first we THANK YOU for being who you are, the Lord Who Heals. You don’t leave us to fend for ourselves. You care intimately & deeply. In your gracious and attentive love, You bring us healing in our bodies, minds & souls. Most importantly, You’ve given us Your son to die for our sins, and You give us the faith to believe in who He is & what He has done. You bring us soul-healing & eternal life. Thank you Lord for giving us ultimate healing thru Jesus, a restored relationship with You!
Lord, you know that while in Christ our souls are being renewed day by day, our bodies are getting run down. We do lift up Donna & her husband to you. Thank you for sustaining them thus far & allowing them to get the medical care they need to attend to their issues as much as possible. We pray that Donna heals well from her left thumb & wrist surgery and that she is able to see a retina specialist soon, if it be Your will.
We also lift up her husband who needs Your help & attention with dealing with balance & walking issues.
Would You bring about improvement & healing that they would give all glory to You!
Lord, we pray for continued medical care & wisdom from medical professionals to treat these matters – but most of all we pray that YOU put your healing hand on Donna & her husband, and give them continued faith in You. Would they praise You in their waiting. Would they know Your goodness & see Your blessings everyday. Would You encourage them thru Your Word, Your people & Your Holy Spirit.
Thank You for the privilege of praying for Donna & her husband. Would You bless them abundantly in Christ!! In Jesus’s name, amen.

Donna Lober says
Heavenly Father, You know the hearts of Betsy and her son Aron and you know what needs to change to bring reconciliation to this situation. I can’t imagine the heartache Betsy has had over not being able to see or talk to her only grandson, but you do. Will you cover this family with your love and peace and restore whatever is broken here so she can see her grandson and build a relationship with him and his father. Lord, I know you love this family and want only for them to be healed and have a healthy relationship. You are the healer of all things and we leave this at your feet. Let your will be done. Amen

I need God’s peace and courage today. I’m a 77 yr. old widow and I’ve gotten myself into credit card debt and I know better. I need His guidance and wisdom as to how to handle this and get back on track with my finances. I know He’ll forgive me, but I need to forgive myself for letting myself get into this position. I’d appreciate your prayers for His answers to this and to be able to make the necessary changes so I don’t end up here again. Blessings. Donna
