  1. So good Simi! My husband and I were talking about that the other day, about how many things would be simplified and empowered in our lives if we just remembered God’s authority in our lives.

  2. Simi thank you for todays reading. We sometimes doubt we have big God that loves us. We can do the task in his name. Knowing God is there he will help get through the task. But we just have to trust God and ask him in prayer to help us. Through the task. We are not to dought. Know that God will help us through what ever we are going through. Tell us how to get through it. We as God’s Children have to believe God will do it and not doubt. That we can do it in God’s authority. I say Amen to that. 3. I needed this encouragement today. To get over my timidity and realize that He will speak through me. Lord, help me to remember this, and just go where you send me, and trust You to speak.

  4. Hi Simi……I think you are so right. Sometimes, I think we forget about God’s power due to not being able to see him, but I know that His authority has more strength than Anyone else. Thanks for the reminder. Enjoyed your story. Have a Blessed day! Betsy B.

  5. Simi, this is a good reminder of how much power we have, if we call on His name! I assume you were able to solve your dad’s billing issue?

  6. As we remember this Pentecost Sunday, Jesus told us he was sending a Helper who would give power to do even greater things in this world!
The Holy Spirit gives us authority to go and do amazing, healing work in our corner of this hurting world.
Thank you for reminding us of this important truth to go in His grace and power!

  7. Hahahaha! Thank you for sharing Simi. I’m looking for a job. Every opening is Manager related. Nope not me! As you said “we can feel very small and unqualified when God calls me to something big. And I definitely shy away from opportunities, conversations, and tables where God invites us to go because we don’t feel equipped” I really need to remember….
“if He calls you, you are not going in your own strength, wisdom, or authority. You are going in His name and He is with you”
    Amen \0/

  8. Yes Simi. So many times I fall into the lie that I am doing life on my own. Daily struggles in life, tends to blur my spiritual vision of the greatness of our God. Thank you for the reminder.

    • So true! It takes intentionality to fight the lies that we are alone and weak. It takes abiding and connecting with the Power Source!

  9. Simi,

“God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.” I have a few examples of Jesus’ name is power: I can remember reading many accounts of Jesus speaking to demons & they trembled & left. His words carry power.

There is a scene in the movie “War Room” where the wife goes on the porch & starts relentlessly rebuking the devil. I have done that very thing myself.

Love the new song by Micah Tyler “Praise the Lord” . The chorus says “when the devil comes try to get me gonna praise the Lord.”

    Blessings 🙂
