  1. Becky, you have no idea how helpful this is. I connected with what you wrote in so many ways. I appreciate your list of prayers. So often, I can’t even come up with what words to use when I ask God for help. I open the Bible but I don’t know where to look for that peace. I appreciate that you shared your difficulties. It really helps. Thank you.

    • Madeline, I’m so grateful to know that this was encouraging to you! God’s timing is always perfect. He sees you. He loves you. He is with you.

(And if you don’t know what to read in your Bible, I recommend starting with the book of John. Get to know Jesus and how He cares for people.)

    • I agree, this is so helpful. Thank you for this sweet reminder Becky. Reading this filled me with a sense of peace & calm and the joy of knowing we are welcomed right now, as we are, by our Father.

  2. Thank you for so honestly sharing your journey with anxiety, Becky. I’m grateful for women like you who normalize conversations about mental health—sharing how we can lean on both our faith AND professional help to get through it.

  3. Thank you Father God for an answer to my prayer through Becky’s post. In Jesus name.

  4. Becky,
As a sister sufferer from anxiety, I can really relate and draw strength from this post. I find when the anxiety tsunami hits, I have to keep everything simple — including prayers. Thank you for sharing from your heart ❤️

  5. This was such a helpful message for so many of us …across the board……no matter what age.
I will save it and read it over and over. Thank you for your insight.

  6. Becky, thank you for this most encouraging post! One of the best, down to real life words, I have read in a while! I think most of my life has been lived in the “barely there” moments! Keeping this post to reference often and sharing with friends that I know will also relate!! Thank you so much for just what I needed today!!

    • Kathy! Your words bless me. God is so good to take our barely and turn it into abundance. Praising Him for how He’s doing that through this post.

  7. I really needed to hear this today. My body was riddled with anxiety this morning. And it was all of those barely things you talked about. When I read the subject of today’s devotion, I knew that I needed to stop what I was doing and read this as I was barely hanging on today.

    • I’m praying for you today, Christine! Surely God sees you and is with you. You don’t have to hold it all together because He is holding you.

  8. Becky, this is so spot on for anyone struggling. Thank you. I want to tuck these words away for those times when I really need them! I will find a way to store them.

  9. I wish circumstances didn’t drag me down to this anxiety pit. I wish I was stronger to handle the brokenness in our family. I pray for continued healing, but it seems like the more I pray the worse things get. There is so much brokenness in our family, I’m barely hanging on. I pray that the Holy Spirit enter into this situation and heal it. make this impossible situation become possible through Jesus who intercedes for my family.

    • J, I appreciate your honesty. My heart breaks for you. I am praying Hebrews 4:16 for you:

“Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

Praying you feel God’s tangible presence and see His provision and goodness even in the midst of all the brokenness.

  10. Thank you so much for your encouraging words Becky! I’m struggling with muscular pain and I’m fighting anxiety and worry. I’ve received prayer and nothing is helping. I just prayed your prayers and believing that He heard me. My hope is in Him! I absolutely love this website!

  11. Amen \0/ Thank you Becky! Smiles, tears, and nodding my head as I read.
I will be sharing this with my daughter. She will love it \0/

  12. This has been so helpful for me. I am in the Land of Barely Anything and Fresh out of Everything. I am learning to trust Him with it all. I am learning there are no quick fixes and to try and find joy in the situation. Am slowly getting there. I will definately be using the simple prayers – for those days when it’s all too much!

    • I see you, Julie. And most importantly, God sees you, He loves you, and He will be faithful to carry you. He is more than enough for everything we lack.

  13. Becky,

Life gets hard & busy down here. At times it can feel like nobody understands & everyone else has it all together. Nothing could be further from the truth. Thank you for being open & vulnerable about mental illness. Most Christians want to sweep it under the rug. By talking about it we can start a conversation & let others know they aren’t alone in their struggles. Many times I have prayed that first prayer for others. Asking God to give them wisdom & guide their steps.

    Blessings 🙂
