  1. Wow you just made me really want to read your book! I don’t think it was creepy at all but very kind! Isn’t it wonderful to know you made someone’s day?

  2. Oh I feel like crying happy tears! I LOVE THIS POST SO MUCH! And this story is so perfect because it was Authored and Orchestrated by God Himself. He is truly THE BEST Author! I have experienced many times little huge things like this. Things that I’ve prayed for or over that to other’s would seem trivial or small, but to me they are HUGE when Jesus hears and gives or does it. Those moments I feel so excited and humbled at the same time! <3 God is SO GOOD, He is THE BEST Father, and it blows me away EVERY SINGLE TIME He does something just for one of us, His children. Something so personal and uniquely for just us, but then how it can ripple into other's lives and touch them just as much. What an AMAZING God we have!

    Merry CHRISTmas, A

    • So beautifully said, Amada! I agree with a hearty AMEN! Merry Christmas to you, too! May we all continue to live eyes wide open to God’s goodness around us and the Spirit’s prompting to share His love with others.

  3. I love this for so many reasons. But mostly because it reminds me to be observant. When we are so into ourselves and many times it is necessary, we fail to see what is around us. But mostly who is around us.
Life is always busy and pulling at us, taking time from us, leaving us empty at times. Yet God says stop look around you and see what I have done just for you. All the birds, flowers, sunsets, sunrises, people saving your favorite seat by the window, He has done just for you.
What a beautiful reminder of just how personal our God is. Thank you for a wonderful start to another extraordinary day that we have to share and enjoy just because.

  4. This was a wonderful message. Thank you! Beautiful, timely thoughts. We all want to be seen. And we are. But we need to remember to see others, and to see them as God sees them.

    • Amen, Holly! And when we go through our day praying, “Lord, help me to BE the blessing to someone” He is so faithful to give us those eyes to see and a heart willing to act.

  5. Becky, I love this post and have read your book 3 times! It’s so wonderful to be seen and to know that God puts people in our paths to see us and encourage us. Thanks so much for this wonderful gift.

  6. Such a lovely and heart warming story! God just loves to bless us in these awesome and unexpected ways! Merry Christ-mas!

    • You’re so right! The Father delights in giving good gifts to our kids. May we be more and more aware of His kindness in our lives.

Merry Christmas to you too, Kathy!

  7. Praise the Lord! Nothing is too big or too small in our Father God’s eyes. HE always prepares everything for us. HE knows what we need in our daily life. Even though while we are in our most difficult times, HIS grace is always enough for us. May all the praises and glories go to our Lord.

  8. Becky,
As Amada stated, I have happy tears from reading this! God has indeed blessed you with an incredible gift of writing and also bringing people together. I truly enjoy reading all the Incourage devotions. God’s blessings on you, Chris and those three cute boys. Blessings, Ginny

  9. Becky,

Our local Christian radio station has a “drive thru difference”. You print out a letter go to a drive thru & pay for the person behind you. Next you hand the cashier the letter. He/she will give it to the recipient. Way of sharing God’s love & making others feel seen.

The last few years have been full of change. Mid November 2021 my unit, hospital, was shut down due to staffing. They moved me to an ICU Covid unit as a clerical. It was around that time I began praying for a full-time job. Mid December 2021 they offered me a position that was written just.for.me. I was beyond excited knowing full well that this was from God. Last fall the other clerical quit suddenly & my job duties were revised to stocking 28 ICU rooms. My joy turned to depression. Fast forward to 12/29/23. They permanently opened another unit that ICU manages. The RNs & CNAs need help there. I made mention of this to assistant managers & my manager. Friday they called & gave me the job. Talk about feeling seen. God heard my pleas for more clerical work. This is another example of Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you not for harm. To give you a hope & a future.” His plans & ways are far better than I could ever imagine.

    Blessings 🙂

  10. JUST received my copy of The Simple Difference & anxious to begin reading. Firmly believe that each of us, extending kindness in our little “corner” of the world can make a big impact. Thank you Becky!
