Death wrapped its ropes around me;
the terrors of the grave overtook me.
I saw only trouble and sorrow.
Then I called on the name of the Lord:
“Please, Lord, save me!”
How kind the Lord is! How good he is!
So merciful, this God of ours!
The Lord protects those of childlike faith;
I was facing death, and he saved me.
Let my soul be at rest again,
for the Lord has been good to me.
He has saved me from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling.
And so I walk in the Lord’s presence
as I live here on earth!

Everywhere we look today, there seems to only be trouble and sorrow. Loss, both big and small, has left bruises that won’t soon go away, and many of us continue to experience overwhelming waves of grief. And where is God in the middle of all this?
He is here. Psalm 116:9 says that we walk in His presence here on earth. He is not far away from our pain. He doesn’t stand at a distance, watching us suffer. God is in our midst, and in His mercy, He will come and save us. We can rest in His presence even when the turmoil doesn’t relent, even when there is no peace in our hearts or our homes, and even when we are misunderstood and dismissed. God is kind and good. He can lead our souls to rest in Him.
Lord, help us to believe. Amen.

In Courage,
Jesus is well acquainted with our emotions. For he was fully human & fully God at the same time. He loves us to much to leave us in our misery & suffering. 2 Corinthians 1:4 who comforts in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

No matter what we go through. Jesus is there and he will take us through it. We might not see Jesus take us through in way we like at the time or his hand in it at the time. But afterwards when we are going through all we are going through. We can look back say yes Jesus wax there and he helped us through it all. Jesus might not help us the way we would like. But we will see in the end Jesus way was best not ours. Even though we think our way was best. We will see Jesus way in the end was best. When we are sorrwing. Then we can say thank you Jesus for being there for me and showing me your way was best as usual. I have to then say I have to put more trust in you Jesus. As usual we don’t. We have are own ways. Lord, thank You for Walking Beside Me Everyday.
I cannot even wake up and take a breath without You. My life belongs to You. My emotions get out of balance sometimes along with my hormones. It’s not easy being a 64 year old female in my body of challenges. I’m not complaining as though I have no hope, I know my hope is in Jesus.
So many days come and go. I think about my childhood and I think about my own children growing up with me as their mother. I want them to know that God is their Heavenly Father and loves them unconditionally, no strings attached.
Thank You Lord for Your Tender Mercies that are new to Your children every morning.
