1 Don’t worry about the wicked
or envy those who do wrong.
2 For like grass, they soon fade away.
Like spring flowers, they soon wither.
3 Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
5 Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
6 He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
7 Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.
8 Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—
it only leads to harm.
9 For the wicked will be destroyed,
but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.
Psalm 37: 1-9 NLT
Whether you find your heart burdened today by what’s happening around the world, what’s happening inside your home, or even in the confines of your own heart, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed… paralyzed… confused… and unsure of how to move forward.
Thankfully God understands. He knows this world is full of trouble and heartache, and He provides everything we need to navigate our uncertainty.
Take a few minutes to quiet your mind and heart.
Tell God what is making you feel anxious or tangled, angry or unsure.
Then read the verses above from Psalm 37. Take note of how God graciously guides us through the steps of surrendering our worries and placing our trust back where it belongs — in Him alone.
God’s help is near! As close as His Word, as close as your very breath. You need only be still.

Thank you for sharing God’s word to calm my fears, give ease to a troubling mind, and find comfort in his arms.

I do needed to hear this today. I’m feeling so discouraged & anxious about my family’s brokenness, I need to be still & let God be God. He’s bigger then this brokeness.

My husband and I just moved south from Maine. Our hearts are heavy for our family still in Maine after the mass shooting this past week. Please pray as the long road to healing begins physically, mentally and emotionally. May God have mercy.

Thank you for valuable insight my heart needed to be reminded of. I love how you italicized first & second words in Psalm 37:1-9, NLT. I added rest of verse after —
Don’t worry– about the wicked
Trust– in the Lord
Commit– everything you do to the Lord
Trust Him– & He will help you
Be still– in the presence of the Lord
Don’t worry– about evil people who prosper
Stop — being angry
Turn — from your rage
Do not lose– your temper
What a great way to intentionally focus our thoughts on the Lord. Thank You Jesus that as we read Your Living Word, our body, soul & mind is transformed.

In Courage,
We must remember God is in control of this world & our lives. Our job is to simply trust Him with our whole hearts, minds & souls. He alone will handle the situations of the world-especially the war in Israel.
My work ethic is summed up in Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. I don’t work for the applause of man, but God. Greater Vision’s “Start with Well Done” is my anthem for life. Here is the chorus: Only two words will fulfill me When I see his face For there’s eternal meaning In this one little phrase
When this life is over And the next ones begun I want it to start with Well Done!
Everyone simply take your cares & worries to God. He alone can & will handle all of them big or small.
Have a blessed week!!
Blessings 🙂

Beth, Thank you, thank you! Isn’t this Colossians 3:23-24 verse such a gem!
I find I can spin a downward spiral right side up when I read this.
Keeping Working for God!

It’s not easy to think of adjectives that really express how I feel since I have observed a lot of T.V. News segments regarding excursions in Gaza and Israel.
I’m a mother but I don’t have any sons but in Israel daughters participate in learning about combat for three mandatory military volunteer years. Education is always valuable but we all learn in different ways. I want to Pray effectively for Israel. Because my ways and God’s Ways are so far apart and so different, I will not be able to truly understand how these “war” scrimmages are explained.
I love children and I am concerned about the widows and orphans. Love and compassion is what will help some. Food, water, clothes, medicine and personal hygiene products will help also.
We mothers are cut from different cloths than fathers. Both are needed and loved by God.
One day we will talk about the year 2023 (Israel Attacked by Hamas) and
2020 – 2022 (Covid-19 Losses).
Let’s keep Praying !

Today as I wait with my daughter to get a breast biopsy for a moderately suspicious lump, I read this. It brought such comfort to be reminded that He is as close as the very breath we breathe. I shared this with her for comfort as she was going through the procedure. Thanks for the encouragement.
