“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.“
John 15:1-5
Here’s the great news, friends: You were not meant to do life by your own strength!
God designed you to need Him. In the same way grapes cannot grow if they are not attached to their vine, so our lives cannot bear good fruit if we are not connected to the True Vine. God is our source of nourishment and guidance. HIS power is what fuels our growth.
If you’re feeling like a shriveled up grape today, weak or weary or wondering what your purpose is, it’s time to remember that you need to remain connected to Jesus.
How do we remain in God? Spend time in His Word. Talk to Him in prayer. LISTEN to Him in prayer. Do what God tells you to do, ie: obey His commands. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with everything you need to bear remarkable fruit.
God loves you so much!
Choose to remain tethered to Love today.

Amen! We give and give, and forget we also need to refill! I have often found myself struggling to give loving advice or to be patient, until I realized that I had let myself run out of God’s abundance, and was therefore “shriveled up”. As Joyce Meyer puts it, “We can not give what we do not have.” God’s word and His presence are a very real daily need, our “first and vital necessity” (1 Chronicles 28:19 AMP).

In Courage,
Just like our bodies need water/refreshment to keep from becoming dehydrated-our souls need refilling also. We need to take time each week to read the word, pray to God & listen to His voice. Then we will be filled to the brim & able to bear much fruit. If you are struggling or like a shriveled prune then reconnect to the vine. Take time today to be with God & meditate on His word. You will be so refreshed.
Each week I make time to connect to the vine by listening to Christian music, reading Bible, & listening to sermons. Then I go out & assist Loaves & Fishes Food Bank doing whatever they need. We help needy in our community get food & lots of God’s love poured out to them.
Blessings 🙂
