See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
1 John 3:1 (NIV)
There is nothing better than knowing you are welcomed somewhere, knowing that you belong. We all long to know that we are chosen, that someone delights in knowing us, that someone wants to love us. While we hope that our family of origin, the community we live in, and our local church would be that kind of place and people for us, that isn’t always the case. We face disappointment, rejection, fractured relationships. People let us down. Places that should be safe are not.
But God.
What two beautiful words! But God loves us, chose, us, and calls us His children.
Maybe that’s what you need to sit with today. Hear God say to you:
Daughter. Daughter. You are my child and I love you lavishly.

In Courage,
I have a saying “If you don’t like me fine. I know God loves me.” He’s crazy about me. So much so that He sent His only son to die a horrible death just. for. me. He lavishes His love in so many ways. Sunrises & sunsets, Smokey Mountains, Home in Heaven, sins forgiven, health, wealth just to name a few. Thank you Jesus!
Blessings 🙂

Thank you for this. We are all God children. It reminds me of the song I learnt in when small at Sunday School. “Jesus Loves all the Children of the world red and yellow black and white” How true and good that is to know. One Salvation Army Officer said to me one time Dawn you remember you are. Daughter of the King of Kings. That spoke to the time she said it to me years and years ago. When I was going through a hard time. We are Daughters of the king of kings. No matter what skin colour we are we are all loved by the king of kings who is Jesus. I say amen to that as he knew us before even before we were born. As it says Jeremiah 1:5 ” Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, Before you were born I sanctified you.” Instand that so good to know. I say Amen to this. Thank you incourage for today’s reading. Love it. Keeping you all in my prayers. Love Dawn Ferguson-Little xx
