  1. Over the years we’ve gone to church, gathered the family, but it’s only in the last few years I’ve really embraced Lent for it’s true wonder, to prepare my heart for His great gift. I do a study and journal my thoughts and prayers of gratitude. It makes me more appreciative and awestruck of the gift of the Cross. It is humbling to know that Jesus died an excruciating death on the cross, waited in agony on Saturday, and was gloriously raised on Sunday, and did this for us all.

  2. I’m torn between trying to remember Easter 365 & truly digging deeper during 40 of Lent. The awe of the rolled away stone indeed!!!

  3. Anna,

My church celebrates communion each Sunday. We begin with a song, then a meditation & finally quiet music while we walk out back taking communion. I realize some churches might think it becomes rote, but the way they do it makes you really think & visualize just what Jesus went through for us. I never gave much thought to lent. It is worth digging deeper into Easter & preparing our hearts to truly understand how much Jesus suffered for us. I will contemplate Ash Wednesday & Maunday Thursday. Listening to songs about those days & mentally preparing myself for His death. Also remember His resurrection three days later.

    Blessings 🙂
