  1. Oh Cailtlyn, you have been through more in your young life than many have who are twice your age. I am so grateful when you lost your first husband God had put you in a place of familiarity, near your family and in a job where God’s daughters could minister to and support you. I cannot imagine the initial fear and incredulity when your second husband started seizuring. Your testimony to God’s grace and sufficiency is powerful. I thank the Lord with you that the surgery was successful and you have the joy of a baby!

  2. Tears, I seem to be dropping a lot of them lately. I felt the grains of sand, the grit, I felt the sorrow, sadness and pain, but God, he takes us through experiences in life that build endurance, character, and enable us to persevere through the knowledge and faith that we are his and he is with us. I’m sorry that you had to endure, but I’m grateful that through it, he cracked open your shell to reveal the precious pearl that you are. God bless you and your family, honored to be a part of this community with you.

  3. Caitlin your experiences at such a young age are heart breaking but wow God, how you used them for Your glory! Your faith, love, and sincerity are such a loving example to me and so many others. Thank you for sharing and we are so thankful you found a home with Mary & Martha! Love you my friend!

  4. Caitlin,

Life is very much like the making of a pearl. Irritants work their way into oysters or clams. As a defense mechanism the mollusk secrets a fluid to coat the irritant. We experience many changes in our daily living. Like the irritant that works its way into an oyster trials/tribulations come our way. Jesus is the fluid that helps “coat” the irritant or give us a sense of calm & peace. God knows what we need on this journey. We are placed with the right people, at the right place & time to help alleviate any & all pain we feel. With Jesus on our side we can persevere through any trial no matter how big or small. Perseverance produces character & character produces hope. A hope that doesn’t disappoint.

    Blessings 🙂
