  1. Thank you for this very true devotional and such a great word picture! I’m so grateful that God will renovate our lives if we just trust Him and allow Him to rebuild us the way He wants.

  2. Thank you Grace for sharing what you did. It is true that we have keep ourselves close to rock that rock is Jesus. In these days. When the world is the way it is and stand on the promises of God word. For our lives. Not let our feet slip on the sinking sand. Especially if we are worried about the world and the way it is today or have problems. But go to Jesus in prayer. Hand it over to him. Ask him to help our feet not to sink. The Rock reminds of kids song I learnt when at Sunday School when small. It is the “Wise man build his house on the Rock. ” That rock is Jesus. This song is good for us as Adults today. Then another line of the songs goes the foolish man build his house on the sand. Another line of the song goes I not know it word perfect. Goes I think the course is a bit like this. Build your life on the Lord Jesus Christ the true Rock. My wording could be a bit wrong. As I can’t remember it word for word. But it is good song. You get it on YouTube. As Jesus is our Rock to build our lives on for everything. I do that. As the Devil would want us to sink in the sand. The Devil will do anything to get us to slip. So we have to keep close to the Rock Jesus at all times and stand on the promises of his word. Pray to Jesus the Rock. Thank you again Grace for what you shared. It spoke to me. • Thank you for the kind words! I’m so glad that the article could serve as an (in)couragement! How assuring that Jesus is our rock and tethers us to peace in times of both trial and celebration!

  3. Grace,

Oh how easy it is to fall into the world’s traps of flimsy friendships not built on Christ. Only true friendships built on the solid rock will stand the test of time. We must be willing to let God come into our hearts and work a demolition. Completely gutting & removing all the bad stuff. Putting in its place a new & better foundation & changing us in the process. In the end we come out a completely new person in Christ.

    Blessings 🙂

    • Yes! I love the themes that have been emerging in more recent articles published here on friendships at how to accept them as they change. But godly friendships, no matter how they change throughout the seasons, still bring us closer to the Rock of our Salvation!
