  1. Amen! I pray I change be continuously changed by Jesus and finish his works as he directs and all the glory be given to him. I want to be like him and follow his teachings, this I pray. In Jesus name, Amen.

  2. In Courage,

Salt preserves food, a flavor enhancer & a nutrient source. In the same way we are to show the world the “nutrient” source they need for eternity. We are to be tasty (kind, helpful & Loving). Light gives us a way to see in the darkness. We as Christians are to shine the light of Jesus on this sin darkened world. Thus giving hope, & life to the helpless. It doesn’t take much-just a kind word, a helpful hand or a simple smile. You can brighten up someone’s day. Simple acts of kindness often lead others to question why & then comes the salvation talk. Let’s go be salt & light in this world.

    Blessings 🙂

    • Beth, i love sending cards in the mail to people YES! With a stamp, in a tech age finding a card in the mail box is uplifting, lets send a card to someone and brighten their day.

  3. Thank you for these great words! They brought up some good memories of growing up in the church. My dad was a Christian minister and I helped mom in the nursery. One of their favorite songs was “this little light of mine”. As we sang the song, we would hold up a finger for the light. When it got to “hide it under a bushel, ” we would cover the finger with our other hand, then pull it out and shout ” Oh No! I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine!” We had the babies up to age 5. I grew up in a small town, so we only had around 10-15 kids most weeks, but this song was sung every week. It was their favorite! Both of my parents have passed on to be with the heavenly Father. Thanks for bringing up some wonderful memories. Let it Shine!

  4. These words ring so true today as I sit here with my son who is 18 years old n is diagnosed as a partial quadraplegic from a mva 6 days ago. I know so many people are praying and observing our Christian conduct through this crisis. Already my husband has witnessed to one of my son’s friend about what the Gospel truly is. Asking for strength to be salt each and every day through this tough time. Maggie

    • Maggie,
Praying for you and the others you will encounter during this difficult time. We never know who’s watching or listening so keep
your light on and stayed filled up! I’m somewhat familiar with your situation as my son was in an accident ten years ago and survived only by the Grace of God. I was in a larger town where he was hospitalized for 8 weeks but not once did I feel alone. God was with me and
hopefully I was a light not only to the precious doctors and nurses and staff but to others in the unit. I pray God will show them what
they did for me when they reach Heaven…

    • Maggie,
My hear goes out to you, your son and family at this time.
Lifting your family and son up in prayer. May the Lord give you all strength to face your sons situation. May the Lord answer your prayers and to heal your son and you all in his good and perfect timing and according to his will. Amen.

Remember the Lord never leaves you he is always with you, turn and trust in him. Lay your burdens on him and receive his peace.
      Jas

  5. That song Pegg This Little Light Of Mine. I love it too. I want it too shine round my unsaved family. That they see Jesus in me want what I have that is Jesus as their Saviour. Especially my Father who is 78. I along with my husband am the only one in my family saved. I am glad to be saved. I pray for them all. Even my sister’s kids. I can’t tell them they need to be saved as big row would go up and they say I was preaching too them. Tell me to keep my religion to myself. So I just live my life as the light Jesus would want me to be in front of them and I don’t over flavor anything I say or do when with them. But in Birthday cards I say God Bless and praying for you. I try to be the light as best I can especially when visiting them. They would ask me now and then was I at Church on Sunday I’d say yes. I go every Sunday. See they do not go to their Church every Sunday. Where as I would. They have asked me do you go every Sunday to Church. I say yes. This is good opportunity for me to get my speak in. I yes I do as it a chance for me to learn for me more about Jesus and grow closer to Jesus. I say something like that to him. I am careful what I say. As if I say too much then you get. Ok that’s enough. But I pray to God to open their eyes that they will see their need to get saved. God will make the Gospel real too them. He will in his perfect timing. They will see Jesus in me want what I have that is Jeaus as their Saviour. Love Dawn Ferguson-Little
