  1. (in)courage friends,
I can’t wait…it’s time to pull out my favorite Advent tradition which started when Ann’s book came out in 2014. I will set up my little Jesse Tree with lights and get out the beautiful paper ornaments and, together with my husband, we will read Ann Voskamp’s “The Greatest Gift- Unwrapping the full love story of Christmas”. It’s a daily Advent devotion that I did by myself for two years and then my husband saw me enjoying it so much, he wanted in on the fun. Now it’s a special time in the morning that we share together. It starts on the first day of Advent (Dec. 1) so grab a copy soon. I gave this as a gift to friends and they have loved doing it too. It really sets my eyes and heart in the right right direction – on Christ – as the whirlwind of Christmas activity kicks into high gear. This is my slow and be still place that I so desperately need this time of year.
    Blessings,
    Bev xx

  2. Thank you for including me in this beautiful round-up. What a fabulous list of resources to keep our hearts connected to the Source and Reason for Christmas!

  3. In Courage Friends,

This is a great list of advent devotionals. There are many wonderful women Christian writers. I have already set up my little Jesse Tree. I may read a devotional book & contemplate on the true meaning of this season. Christmas is about a baby born in a manger. Most of my family-my sisters & their families are in other states/countries. We don’t do anything together. I will contemplate on the reason Jesus left His beautiful home in Heaven to come to a broken earth.

    Blessings 🙂
