By now you’ve probably heard that our (in)real life FRIENDED event is scheduled for October 14th both live in Nashville, TN and simulcast all around the world. But you might not know much about our speakers. Well, let us introduce you!
Today we want you to meet the one and only, Annie F. Downs.
Who makes you laugh quite like Annie Downs, right? If you could bottle joy, it would be called ‘Annie’. But what we love about her (even more than her laugh) is her honesty. Annie is always the realest version of herself. She gave up makeup for Lent and we think it’s the most beautiful reflection of how so many of us already see her — true, real, open, and utterly accessible.
Here’s a little glimpse into Annie’s life so you can see a bit more of this for yourself:
First off . . . What?! Annie helped host the livestream for Sadie Robertson’s (of Duck Dynasty fame) birthday party!!!
Annie is ALWAYS up for something fun. Including face jewels. Can you even?
And finally, it’s impossible not to love a girl who loves a Pegasus pool floatie! (And don’t even get us started on her galaxy hair!)
Want to find out what Annie really thinks about friendship? A few weeks ago, Lisa-Jo and Annie had a conversation inside our Never Unfriended Sweatpants Book Club and today, we want to share it with all of you.
Trust us when we say she gets what it means to invest in friendship on purpose. She has also lived the hard learning that we can’t remake people in our own image, but have to let them be made in God’s image, and how that will sometimes cost us something. Yeah, we’re going there and talking about the things we can’t change about our friendships and probably aren’t supposed to anyway.
Watch this video conversation with Annie and Lisa-Jo! You’ll laugh — a lot — and learn some great tips and strategies for friendship at the same time.
For more fabulous fun with Annie connect with her over here on Instagram! We promise, it will add smiles (and sometimes even glitter) to your day!
And don’t forget about (in)real life FRIENDED. Tickets are available by clicking here. Annie will be at the Nashville event in person, so join us! Because if you’re going to do a girls’ weekend, you might as well plan something that includes Annie!Leave a Comment

(in)RL and Annie,
I’ve been reading and joining in here at (in)courage for a LOOOONNNNGGG time and I love reading Annie’s posts. She is the real deal and I love how she is raw, open, and honest. I’ve read her posts that speak from the heart about singleness in a world that is always seeking a mate. When I was a single mom, her posts encouraged me to find my true love in Christ. Annie doesn’t pull any punches, but speaks from a sincere heart that wants others to know her Lord and Savior. I will have to check out the video and other links to get to know you better, Annie. Now, for being a Preds fan…..Nashville may have the best music, but my Pens ultimately won the cup (despite all the catfish) lol. All in good fun and sport. Thanks for sharing this up close and personal portrait of Annie. xoxo

(In)RL & Annie,
Thanks for being a great spokesperson for singleness. This world is all about finding a mate, marrying, family, etc. There are many people out there who are single and they need to know that God loves them & is their constant companion. I will check you out more to really know you better. Thanks for sharing this information.
Annie is the realest deal. I mean I knew that before I took my small group of 15 middle school girls to meet up with Annie in Nash to talk about the book study we did over tacos on a patio. Appreciate her heart and ministry SO much. Xo Jen
