  1. Denise,
You sound like me…I am always looking toward the sky to see God…sunrises, sunsets, crisp blue skies with wispy clouds, cloudless starry nights. The other day what I saw wasn’t a rainbow, but it was a prism of color in the clouds. A band of the beautiful rainbow colors. Not quite sure what to call it, but it definitely was a sign from God of His love and faithfulness to me.

  2. Ah yes! Incredible sunsets. Early spring warmth. This week I saw God’s wonder in a disappointing diagnosis and the way it brought people together in loving support. The reminder that there is always hope as we joyful anticipate the future God has planned.

    • Hi Cheri! Yes! Thank you for the reminder that looking in hope to all that God has planned can be a new place of seeing 🙂 May He lift you up today and help all of us to see in HIs hope 🙂

      • Thank you Cheri for reminding me to thank God in the midst of the challenges in my life. This is one of those days I think I will be thanking Him quite often and telling Him I trust Him. I echo A’s reply to you. Wishing you comfort in His love and hope for you.

  3. I love sunsets and see many as we travel in the semi. This time of year the spring flowers, the buds on the trees, green grass, new baby animals. All remind me of God’s faithfulness and love.

  4. I heard the beautiful sound of raindrops this morning through my window that was cracked open. I very often point out God’s handiwork to my kids but my heart really sings when they point it out to me! And when I notice the beauty God provides I often thank Him for my sight and other senses. My parents appreciated natural beauty and often pulled off to the sides of roads to take a look. Just yesterday my daughter was looking through photos. She is going on 15 now and last summer we took a trip together and on the way back we stopped, again, and took photos of ourselves looking at the vista. She said I love that we stopped here. My sons are no different. My oldest always wants to take “the scenic route” and stop at the local dive for food, not the fast food chain if we didn’t bring a picnic for the side of the road. One day he and a friend were taking photos on their phones of the sunset from the porch. My other son points things out to me and I love the joy on his face when I ooh and ahh. And my grandmother taught me to always “stop and smell the roses” She was one of the kindest souls and loved the Lord with her whole heart.
Thank you for this post. I will look for the sunset tonight and make sure I get up for sunrise tomorrow. Meanwhile, it’s raining and I am looking at the beautiful reflection on everything that is wet. Even the wet fur of my big fat Newfoundland.

  5. I’m a poet so I wrote about angels painting the sky blue every morning and hanging the stars out at night. I see the wispy clouds that look like feathers. Reading Bev’s comment made me remember the double rainbow over my house and the neighbors’ after a storm. God is an artist, writer, creating with His words. I love watching butterflies, snails and playful puppies. To teach children to notice that is a moment of worship. I have even seen a cloud in the form of a dove…and I think to myself what a wonderful world. Have a blessed Sunday!

  6. I love to read all these comments. Just a few days ago I was sharing with someone about how God speaks to us. I love hearing the birds singing early in the morning, and it reminds me of how God loves us and takes care of us.

  7. Ditto! I plan my evening walk just so I can “chase” the sunset. What a gift of peace over the day and of promise over the next. After so many blank stares the first few months when I ask my college students if they saw the full moon, I think they are finally getting trained to anticipate and look for God even in this.

  8. Denise,
I see God all the time! Just looking at sunrises, sunsets, beautiful mountains around my home. He shows himself really good in the fall season. He brings out so many wonderful colors to enjoy!! In the spring He shows up in the pretty flowers blooming & everything coming to life again!
    Blessings 🙂
