  1. Psalm 46:10 often comes to mind when I pray…Be still and know that I am God. I am reminded that our God is the great “I am”. He is over all things, above all things, in all situations, and more than able to handle all things. No matter what my prayer request is, He’s already got it. My job is to Be still and know. So many times I lift up my prayer requests, but then I still feel a need to do something to make it happen. This is where God challenges me to be still and trust in Him. Easier said than done a lot of the time, but He keeps calling me to stillness…
    Blessings this Sunday,
    Bev

  2. Like Bev mine is always Psalm 46:10. In prayer I am reminded to be still in His Presence. Trust in him and not be afraid. But I, like you, still want to see something. I trust that things are handled through Him. But despite my knowledge that He will handle things in His time, my impatient human self wants to see something. I want to do something. I want to plan something. I want….something. But I am forever grateful for the reminder that I need to slow down, not plan, and be still.

  3. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
We don’t understand when bad things happen, but I have to trust that God can make good out of every situation.

  4. Isaiah 26 v 3, ” You will keep him In perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.” Whenever this passage comes to my mind, I have come to associate it with being warned that there is trouble round the corner.

  5. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you”. “To give you a hope and a future”. I have been praying lately and the answer I keep hearing is “not yet” “NO”. It is very frustrating. Like Bev I feel I want to do something to make my prayers happen. Then I remember that God is in Control, not me and He knows what’s best for me!

  6. Romans 8:28 (NIV)
My prayers aften times include hiding, from keeping away from and not experiencing anymore negativity, unkind, friendship, or relationship, but it never fails and I have to keep reminding myself of this verse.

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.

  7. Hi Paulette : Often time I ask
“Where is God when it hurts” But, yeah Paslm 27:4 simply say ‘wait’ he is never late.

  8. thank you for his timely reminder in my life today. This was on an old wall hanging in the church I served in for about 10 years. I wished I could have gotten people to really take it seriously. God knows I tried, the rest is up to Him.

  9. I am very new to the Christian faith but I believe God sent us His son to teach us to Love God and to Love one another. We know that our Father in heaven is kind, caring and loving and He knows the desires of our hearts. Jesus was sent to us to show us the way to live and God wants us to follow Jesus. With that being said these are a couple of my most favorite scriptures that help remind me: Trust God. & God is good.

    Romans 12:12
    “Be joyful in hope,
    Patient in affliction,
    And faithful in prayer.”

    Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭23-24
“Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works”

    Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28-29‬
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.”

Thank you Denise for Sharing your thoughts 🙂 God bless.

    • That’s His promise and He’s a covenant keeper who hasn’t ever failed and not about starting.

  10. Whenever I want to bring up verses in my mind that I have memorized over the past 49 years this one pops up first almost every single time: Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. Always powerful!

  11. Isaiah 43:19 – See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
