You might have noticed that on Wednesdays, we talk a lot about new (in)courage products here on the Marketplace. We want to make sure you’re the first to know about product releases and tell you the story behind them.
This December, we’d like to do something a little different and point you to some other folks who are doing awesome things around the world. Their work supports women in need all around the world, and their products are absolutely beautiful! So we’re loving our neighbors as we show them some love here at (in)courage, while they’re loving their neighbors through the work they provide around the world.
We hope you might find an item in their shops that will make the perfect Christmas gift this holiday season—they’re all sharing some special coupon codes, just for you! And if you find you love these organizations as much as we do, we’ve given you all the links to show them a little social media love!
Work of Worth
Work of Worth is an organization dedicated to utilizing the power of commerce to free the oppressed throughout the world. WoW exists primarily as an import and distribution company, for the purpose of connecting entrepreneurs and businesses in the developing world to the Western market.
The result becomes people of worth who are transformed, sustainably employed, changing the poverty cycle, and freed from trafficking.
WoW implements a vetting process to ensure that each of their partners model Work of Worth’s standard of ethical treatment of their employees.

The Lulu Tree
The Lulu Tree‘s vision is to work with HIV mothers in the slum of Katwe, Uganda (the worst of Kampala’s eight slums), equipping them to be able to care for their own kids. Their slogan is “Preventing tomorrow’s orphans by equipping today’s mothers.”
They seek to accomplish this through their two-year mama sponsorship program. The goal, by the end of the two years, is for each mama to be self-sufficient as she cares for her children, pursues her dreams, and ends the cycle of poverty for her family—all in the name and hope of Jesus Christ.
You can join them in their ministry by doing any of the following:
- shop at the Lulu Tree Boutique (all proceeds go towards our mamas in Katwe)
- sponsor a Lulu Mama (go HERE for more info)
- become a Lulu Tree Ambassador
- join our Acts 15 Encouragement Team
- join our Lulu Prayer Team
- make or purchase a Lulu Mama Kit
- buy Lulu Tree founder Emily Wierenga’s memoir, Atlas Girl. All profits benefit The Lulu Tree.
The Lulu Tree is offering all of our readers 10% off their entire shop when you purchase $50 or more. Use code LULU10 at checkout.
Fair Trade Friday
Fair Trade Friday, a ministry of Mercy House Kenya, is a monthly membership club that delivers a box of 3-4 high quality items to your door by the first Friday of the month. The items in the box are fairly traded and provide employment to women all over the world. 100% of the proceeds from each box goes to the empowerment of impoverished women as an avenue to introduce them to the Gospel. Plus, they are really cute!
Why Fair Trade? It ensures club products were made by artisans in fair working conditions who were being paid a fair wage.
Basically, no child gave up his education, home, and family to labor in a sweat shop so that your calves can be toasty in a pair of trendy boot cuffs. You can give gifts of handcrafted jewelry and unique home decor with a clear conscience. People say it’s the thought behind the gift that counts most. In this case, they have done some of that thinking for you.

Subscriptions to the club will be available again in January, but you can purchase a one-time (gift or trial) box here. And they’re offering you a coupon code for $5 off a one-time box! Use coupon code 5off.
