How long will I have to wait? Will it ever happen? Does He even hear me?

Sometimes the things we hold most dear, the requests that weigh heaviest on our hearts, the ones that consume us in the middle of the night or the afternoon or the lifetime seem neverending. It can feel as if nothing will ever change, as if relief or change or healing or answers will never arrive.

But we can take heart in the Lord’s promises! We can take heart and encouragement and rest, knowing that He is faithful and His word is true. What He has promised will surely take place.

What are you waiting on today? What promise are you holding tight as you wait? Let’s take those things to the Lord. Let’s pray for each other today. Share a prayer request in the comments, then pray for the person who commented before you.

Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets,
so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.
This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.
It will not be delayed.”

Habakkuk 2:2-3
