  1. I failed miserably at this Friday night. Hurts that I thought I could manage came bubbling to the surface and straight out of my mouth.
The words of my mouth were definitely not acceptable to anyone and certainly not to my rock and redeemer.
Today I am praying for pause and better control over what I say. I know I need God’s strength to improve this area of my life.

  2. I just love this scripture! I don’t always follow it and hurts have been caused on account of it!

I will definitely pray this more and more before I speak!!

    Blessings 🙂

  3. LET YOUR WORDS COME OUT LORD NOT MINE. IN JESUS NAME I ASK AMEN.
SOMETIMES IT HARD TO SAY THE WORDS I SUPPOSE TO SAY BUT LORD US MY TONGUE TO SAY YOUR WORDS AND LET IT BE SWEET TO YOUR EARS.

  4. I know that to live by faith we just have to believe that all will be OK. I guess I lived my life when I was young in that way but not intentionally, I was in my 20’s then and I will 64 on the 16th. So that was quite a while ago. I have been walking with the Lord for a long time now, except I took a vacation and tried to make it on my own for a little while. I guess my favorite and most appropriate is 2Cor. 13:7, “Now that I pray to God that I do no evil. Glad when I am weak and You are strong. ”
My other favorite is in 2Cor. 13:11 “Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be one.: I guess the second is better, as I’m sitting here thinking that this blog have have been from a year ago possibly. Like October 13 on Wednesday when this year it is on Monday. Oh well, I found ended up finding some scripture I really like to put one something for one of the ladies or men at the retirement village when a friend of my aunts, before she passed away in July, they would really enjoy it. God bless and hope you had a wonderful Sabbath today with your family or friends.

  5. My advocacy for those who rights are violated creates a lot of hostility. I try to maintain my respect for all as I believe God created us all and the fact that some of us have had more opportunity than others does not make us any more,or any less, human. I rely very heavily on this scripture to maintain my cool, though sometimes I regress and have to ask Him for forgiveness. I certainly never make a speech, or being teaching a class without saying it. These words are certainly my constant rock and fortress. Thank You Lord.

  6. I think often of my mother quoting these words to me. Yep, me, the one who is still trying to learn to control her tongue. Mom is with God, but her words continue to be in my mind and heart, God’s Word was what she loved.
