  1. Wow what a story to behold. It is soo true that we, especially in America, are priviliged. We have soo many many opportunities more than in other parts of the world.

I do my part by supporting a little girl from Ninos de Mexico mission. I send monthly support, letters, extra monies at Christmas & birthday to get herself a nice present. I recently received a letter that she decided to get baptized. I sent a nice card, letter and a little money to buy herself a gift. She aspires to be a doctor one day. I pray she makes it. My hubby and I will continue to support Ninos children.

This Christmas my hubby and I are supporting a Salvation Christmas child. I will get a card off a tree at work and then we will shop for the little one. No gifts for each other, just for others.

I, too, await my next glance at grace and love and glorious chance to share it.

  2. Lovely story! I enjoy your blog very much. Have you checked out Trades of Hope? We do this exact thing….market Fair Trade items made by artisans in developing countries. We are marketing to American women while raising awareness of sex-trafficking, abject poverty and abuse of women all over the world. Please visit my website to learn more!

  3. There are people all over the world that are not so blessed with the luxuries that I take for granted every single day. Running water, showers, soap, coffee, the gym and a nice car. I have too many clothes and shoes and too much food in my pantry. As a woman that finds herself without a job again and is searching for the right doorway to go through I keep thinking “This is the type of ministry that I would love to work with and for. Are there any such established projects in Northwest Georgia?” Will my husband even begin to understand?” I pray-fully consider each avenue and research everyday in between the chores I promised to finish for day. I end each day with a few accomplishments and when I have the money, a donation. May we all realize our vast fortunes in all the blessings we have and may we all share them as we are guided to do each day, and follow the prompting of our Heavenly Father through the Holy Spirit with a shining example from Jesus.
