Summer is the perfect time for salads. Veggies and fruits are in plentiful supply so healthy eatin’ is never easier. It just made sense for us to choose Shauna’s Green Well Salad as a feature–it’s easily adaptable to your preferences and you CAN NOT mess it up.
Even those who’ve always snubbed salads as girly food or not substantial enough will want to take a second look. Caramelized onions, done right, will change your culinary life; adding roasted chicken will make this a complete meal.

This looks delish. One of my favorite salads (from my Vienna Cafe) is a Sonoma. It has apples, gorgonzola cheese, and raisins. At home, I like to put craisins in salad with lots of chopped up veggies and some broccoli slaw added in. Yum 🙂
Robin Dance says
Mmmmm. Must try these add-ons.

I’m excited to try this salad, too! Lyli’s salad idea in the comment above is similar to ingredients I toss into an arugula salad. I also add some chopped candied pecans. Oh my!
Robin Dance says
I’ve never candied pecans but I’ve spiced ’em. And that sounds yummy!

That looks so delicious!

This is so good – one of the first things I made from the book. The vinegargette was awesome! And sooooo easy. I will ever buy store dressing again! The only changes I made were the goat cheese for feta and the cherries for craisins -geographics! We have lots of cranberries in the Northeast…yum!

Oh yeah its so on with this yum treat!! Im all about salad and looking for ways to make them different. Other than a savory salad like my chicken romaine salad I love to throw together, is a sweet AND savory salad, which I love to treat myself to every once and a while. So this will be perfect! Another salad I love (I dont know the name) is with chicken, strawberries, walnuts and poppyseed dressing! yum! or a similiar salad i sometimes get at my local Target, which is feta, cranberries, chicken, walnuts and poppyseed dressing 🙂 But oh em gee, cant wait to try this one!

Mom and I are making this tomorrow! 🙂 Can’t tell you all how much I love this book, the videos, and the cooking demos!!! 🙂
