We always thank God for all of you
and continually mention you in our prayers.
We remember before our God and Father
your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love,
and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
On this Memorial Day weekend, we want to take a moment to remember all of those who have given their lives for our country. Our gratitude, our appreciation, our respect – it pales in light of the sacrifices you have made. To everyone who serves in our military and to everyone who loves someone who serves in our military, thank you. Our hearts are full, thanking God for all of you today.

May we never forget the freedoms that they served, fought and died for…particularly our freedom of religion. I am truly indebted from the bottom of my heart!
Blessings and gratitude to all who are serving and who have served,
Bev

An ex-military person got up, prompted by Holy Spirit, and gave us a speech. He talked about telling your children about the freedoms they have & how they were won. Mention to them the wars that were fought to give you the freedom to go to church without persecution, to speak your mind, etc.
It is soo important to remember the valiant efforts that the mothers, dads, & sons put forth for our many many freedoms!
Happy Memorial Day to ALL VETERANS!
There is a jeweler in the next town who gives to any wife, mother, daughter of a serviceman a strand of pearls in the week leading to Memorial Day. One of the store owners places the strand around the woman’s neck. It comes in a special bag with a poem attached. Our soldiers are celebrated and remembered (not as much as they should be on this weekend that’s turned into a big party). I’m so glad to see this family jeweler do something so wonderful for the women at home. It’s been almost 20 years now with no intention of stopping. They had 1,000 strands this year and would have been able to get more if needed.

I have many in my family that served our country. Several uncles, nephews, brother in-law and friends. Some were killed, others came home disabled. I thank my God for them all!! They suffered, sacrificed and some still hurt as well as the families. But they were glad to leave home and fight on foreign soil to keep America “The Land of the FREE”. In my church this morning we had a moment of silence to pray and honor those that payed the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom we enjoy here in America. As they say, Freedom is not free, our troops have fought for it. I sent e-cards and thanked many of them for their service. Please support our troops!! May God bless them and God Bless America!!
Words cannot express the gratitude we owe our military, their families, friends and every life they touch. Thank you for your heroic service both on our soil and abroad.
Love, a former Army brat
