  1. I love this so much. I love the ocean, the great lake that I’m only a mile away from; any body of water. Your post created such a beautiful word picture. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Love the symbolism – and, the many hymns that came to mind as I read your wonderful devotional this morning. Awesome way to start my day! Thank you, and, ‘continue the good work He has begun in you’ 😀

  3. This post absolutely reminds me of Needtobreathe’s song Washed by the Water. You have so accurately described how my walk with Jesus often feels. I like the rain, its comforting and shows His presence, but it doesn’t require too much effort. Yet to be plunged completely into the water is to experience Him in ways and places I would have never imagined by myself.

  4. Way out here in far West Texas, where there is NO WATER, I absolutely loved the beautiful picture your article painted for me. I was absolutely immersed in the visual you gave to my heart about the life giving water that is found only in Christ. Thanks for making my day. Blessings in Him, Sarah Bee

  5. What a soothing, cooling word picture for this feverish morning! I am getting a cold and just needed something comforting this morning! I am glad that your devotional came in this morning, but as always, He knew I would need it!

  6. Wonderful word pictures painted for us! Needed to hear this today to comfort me and realize that the Great I AM is here in the midst of all the muck and mire of daily living~

  7. Such a beautiful post.
Please may we have permission to read it out in our church service on Sunday morning?

  8. That. Was. Beautiful. One of my favorite places to spend with God is on the seashore. I have a whole new perspective on this experience now. Thank you!
