Happy Wednesday!
I’m glad to see you again. I hope you have accepted my invitation to embark on a journey of imperfect progress as we work together to get our emotions in check. Of course, this truly is a journey. And don’t be frustrated if things aren’t changing overnight.
I would much rather write this blog in past tense. Like, “I used to struggle with my reactions but I’ve really matured past my problem with them. So, let me share how I bravely conquered my emotions and completely avoid conflict now.”
But this isn’t a past tense issue in my life.
Though I have gotten better, I still have quite a ways to go. Each day, I’m learning more and more about how to react in a godly way.
For example, have you ever realized in a situation that you were attacking the person instead of the conflict itself? I know I have. In fact, I do this sometimes with my children.
I thought I’d share a funny situation that occurred between my daughter and me… and unfortunately, my ‘exploder’ moment wasn’t as private as I thought it was!

I’m fairly certain that I would have had the same type of reaction to my teenage daughter “honkin’ at her mama”! Thank you for keepin’ it real and helping us as we journey with you, Lysa!

Wow, I am so impressed you even went back outside. I would have just stood at the door with my mad face on, preparing the lecture in my head.
