  1. I love the idea of an advent devotional. I created my own many years ago. Each day has a hymn, scripture and Christmas story associated with it. This has been an awesome family tradition.

  2. I love the idea of teaching the TRUE meaning of Christmas. I usually don’t like–almost despise this time of year. Not because of Thanksgiving, Christmas and the lovely colors of fall–but due to the fact that after Halloween is over all you hear about is FA LA LA LA LA what gifts are you buying–buy buy buy get get get! We as a nation have pretty much forgotten what Christmas is all about.

Add to that we kind of nix the idea of Thanksgiving falling in there. That day is just about gone and forgotten. We need to teach our children what Thanksgiving is truly about and the real true meaning of Christmas!

Thank you for the reminder and the post!
