  1. Oh Annie Downs – you make me cry and want to write a book and want to adopt a hoard of teenagers and want to be brave and generous and good and funny. You know you inspire grown up girls too, right?

    much love

  2. Awwwwww Annie – your words are always inspiring to me. I love your book and hope to do a bible study with a teenage girl who I’ve also known since she was in diapers. Please pray that she will agree to do the study and that God would speak to her heart. Thanks for a great post today.

  3. What a great article. I am currently reading Perfectly Unique before giving it to my daughter for her 14th birthday next month. I love your writing style and your content. I cannot wait for her to dive into it! Thank you for writing this book. I loved learning how God gave it to you, and I can only imagine how your heart must swell with His love for you as you see the book travel far and wide. It was great meeting you at Allume.

  4. Wonderful story of how God places on our hearts His work. And you obeyed. It’s just so amazing when God uses the passion He has put in us to spread His Word, His love. Those girls were blessed by your servant heart and now so many more are and will be!

  5. I’m a youth pastor’s wife, and I can never get my hands on too many resources for teens! Thanks for sharing another one with us- this looks very practical and down-to-earth.

  6. What an inspiring story! I love the way God wove together a number of circumstances to bring your book to publication: 1) Your teacher-experience, 2) Your relationships with those teenagers that dated back to their baby days or childhood, 3) Your ability to communicate verbally and in writing, 4) Your willingness to study and prepare, 5) Your passion to minister specifically to these girls’ needs. It’s such fun to look back in hindsight and see God’s hand at work through the entire process. And now your influence spans the globe in the lives of these girls, and in the lives of others who have/will read your book. Hallelujah for Annie Downs!

  7. Annie, I love that God gave you a talent for the written word. I can’t wait to purchase a copy of Perfectly Unique in January. At my house, we’re not allowed to make any purchases (books, movies, music, etc) until after Christmas. Being patient is hard. 😀

  8. Glad you used your God given talents for good. It is amazing what God can do with a little imagination and some writing talents and a true love for Him!
