“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.Leave a Comment

Jesus is the Light that lives inside of His people, may His Light shine through all of us today – and tomorrow…and tomorrows after that.
Let us Shine!

Absolutely loved the picture! Wish I was there–on a nice sandy beach resting far far away from troubles!!
One of my favorite Scriptures. We need to be light in a world living in darkness and we need to be salt to preserve the Biblical foundation our Founding Fathers based this country on.

Jesus is the LIGHT no other. Always shining within His Sheep. The Son is Shining!!!!!
Love this! I think I know that light house…
We can’t be the light and the salt if we look and act like the “world”. Being different is not bad…
Love it … This was the one of the passages preached on today at church.
My husband preached on these verses this morning, too. Great sermon, if I say so myself! 😉
Thanks for the wonderful post! An awesome, much-needed reminder! Thank you so much! Blessings to everyone who’s in the way of the big storm on the Northeast of the USA….hope everyone keeps safe!
