Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
Psalm 139: 7-12

Love love love the picture–wish I were there now away from stresses of work & life!
We can always stop & pray or just say nothing & he’s there with us–in hospitals, on the way home, etc.
Great soothing scripture!

Thank you for reminding me of God’s beautiful words of encouragement. The part the spoke to me most was, “if I settle on the far side of the sea even there your hand will guide me.” My daughter and her family are moving to England in May 2013. Her husband serves in the USAF and he has orders to move there for a minimum of 4 years. They have 4 children ages 9, 7, 5, 2, and a new baby due the first if December. Needless-to-say, we are very proud of them for serving our country in this manner. They make many sacrifices within their family so “Daddy” can help keep America safe. We are going to miss them terribly as they have lived only a 45 minute drive from us for the past 6 years. My daughter and I, whom we adopted at birth, are very close. I have been disabled for the past 17 years and she has been my second most encourager, my husband being my first, so having so many miles between us is going to be hard. I know God’s hand is in this move, without a doubt, for many reasons and having God’s words, from scripture, to bring encouragement, gives a “peace that passes all understanding”. Thank you again for sharing these scriptures, that are so timely, today!

I have been encouraged with the scripture. I feel energized to keep on going even “in the valleys of the shadows of death”, He is with me.
