Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.
~Habakkuk 3:17-19

I love that no matter where our lives take us, God still can give us what we need to praise!
And it all starts here with our own little ones …

Amen, no matter what happens, God is on the throne and nothing is a surprise to Him. It is a sacrifice of praise that God treasures, when we offer in the midst of our trials and tribulation. However, He offers us grace and mercy when we cannot. As Job testified, God was merciful to Him in all the complaining and crying out Job offered. King David also offered both praise and tears. God is good all the time, we just may not always see that. His mercies are new every morning.

Love that scripture. I am starting to watch a new series called Revolution. It’s about a time when the sun emits a huge solar flare and it hits earth. The result is that ALL electricity is shut down. We must resort back to farming & using candles to read at night.
Even in that situation–God is in the midst of it, taking care of us all!
Have a blessed Sunday!

All those “no’s”… followed by two very firm “I will’s” in spite of.
This is worship.

Amen and Amen! We buried my husband of 31 years yesterday, and I, along with my children, are able to praise God for his goodness and mercy! He was diagnosed with cancer about two months ago, and he had perfect peace about it from the first day. He asked us to pray, not that he would be healed, but that God’s will would be done. Because we all know and (try our best to!) walk with the Lord daily, and hourly, we have been able to praise God in all things. I have prayed from the beginning that we would have the strength to praise God, glorify Him, and be able to be a testimony for others in this time. God had truly provided the peace that passes understanding, and by God’s grace and strength, we are able to celebrate and praise Him today!!! It has been such a blessing to have other people ask us how we have this strength, and we are able to tell them that they can have the exact same thing. Praise and glory to God. He is good, and He is always good, every day.

This was the perfect piece of scripture for me today and at this moment. We had a “Life Party” today for a dear friend who is battling cancer. We had several friends in and spent hours talking, laughing and crying with her. Wee are standing on the wall, waiting with her. We know that one day wee will be in heaven together. For now, we want to enjoy time with her when she still feels good. It was an honor to do this today and www ate all clinging to Good and his promises.

Seeing this verse brought tears to my eyes today. In the midst of a long, difficult trial, this verse has been such an encouragement to me. On a tough day, having this reminder was exactly what I needed. Even when the worst happens…I will rejoice in the Lord.

Thank you so much; I miss everyone so much at New Life. I feel that this verse is very appropriate to my situation, but as Jesus is the lamp unto my feet, as I read it (the verse), I feel it gives me the knowing of the light at the end of the tunnel. When all feels hopeless and the trials are long and draining, one must have FAITH that it is all for the higher gain. AMEN
