  1. This chapter offered an AWESOME summary of the book. I found myself clinging once again to so many of the truths I’d read.
    (1) “‘Daughter, you don’t have to be enough or have a lot. Only offer all you are, all you have, to me. I will turn that into abundance beyond all you can imagine. All things are possible with me.’ Not only is Jesus the supplier – he is the multiplier too. It’s not about what we have to offer . It’s about those hands we place it in.” – What an awesome reminder that we just need to give him everything…
    (2) “We go through each day and make a little more progress. We face obstacles, grow weary, and wonder when things will really get better. It may even seem as if God is nowhere to be found. Where are we headed? Why is it worth it to keep going? But God promises us that in the end it will all be worth it and we’ll understand everything we went through along the way. Jeremiah 29:11 says God has good plans for us, a hope and a future.” – This is a great reminder for when we are facing day to day obstacles as well as bigger ones that there is a reason, we are growing and it may not make sense but it will in the end…
    (3) “You’re already amazing because God made you, formed you, and lives within you. You’re amazing because you belong to him, because he has a plan for your life, because with him there’s nothing you can’t do.”
Thank you Holley for using you LIFE statement to bless other women and encourage them throughout their journey. This book has really been special and so timely for me right now. I had read the book once through prior to this book club and have reread the entire book about 3 times now. Each time, I pick out another little “nugget”.

  2. I really love the encouragement given throughout the book. I have learned some things and look forward to sharing it with a precious friend. Will probably try to go through a second time in a few months or at the New Year.

  3. Wow…I just LOVED this book! Holley, the last chapter was so eloquently written & so very encouraging!! I really loved how you summed it all up. I plan on using this book as a tool for my life…in fact, I plan to go back & re-read some of my highlighted paragraphs in the next few days to let it all really sink in.

Jessica, you took the words right out of my mouth when you spoke about how this book gave you self-awarenes…that was my biggest take-away…now I know more about myself & can, with the help of Jesus, work through those issues.

Ladies, I cannot thank you enough for all that you do for this book club! I have enjoyed every selection thus far, but this one, really hit home for me! 🙂 May God shower His blessings over all 3 of you & your families, always!!

Wish I could treat you all to a big ol’ cup of coffee! 😉

  4. I am so sad that I am finished with this book. Closing it felt like I was saying goodbye to a good friend. However, I am so happy that I read it! This book has reminded me that I am worth so much more than the life I have been settling for. I was made for more than the anxiety and the depression that plagues me, the exhaustion my job brings me, and the frustrations of the world! There were so many truths in this book that I am clinging to and they are helping make it through each day a step at a time!

Holley, thank you so much for sharing your passion with your readers. God has blessed you with a huge heart and a wonderful gift. You are going to touch the lives of so many women! I have started to buy this book as gifts for women in my family! You are a beautiful woman both inside and out!

  5. Holley,
This book is AMAZING! thank you for speaking to my heart — I enjoyed our coffee date together very much ;). I underlined so many passages in this book and I know I’ll be referring back to it a lot. Thank you for using your God-given talents to His glory.

    Have the most blessed day,
    Miranda

  6. Oh boy! I can’t believe the book is done, but I can honestly say that it has left me with CLEARLY knowing what the next steps are!!

This last chapter was great! I LOVED the scriptures you chose – favorites that I apply to my life and friendships over and over. I can SEE how the guidelines you’ve lined out will work in my life (funny, but my chart was exactly the things you had written as suggestions! Did I let myself off too easy??) and will come back to this over and over.

I can’t remember the last time I marked up a book so much – not just with the *assignments* but with the wonderful way you spoke truth and life into our lives.

Thank you Holley, for birthing this book! I’m praying for you, and for your ministry (and job and marriage) as more women grow closer to God through it.

    Grace and peace…

  7. oh – and a PS – our church (Crossroads, in Newburgh, IN) has a copy in their resource center now…and I’m fairly certain that it will be offered 2…maybe 3 times in the next 6 months or so as women’s studies!! YAY!!

  8. Loved the book — so encouraging and uplifting! I agree with Marina that I loved the Scriptures you threaded through this chapter. I was most encouraged by how you started the chapter describing that “restless feeling” we all get — so comforting to know that this is totally normal and not something to freak out about. Thanks for challenging us to look within and stay connected to Him.

  9. I am also so sad that this study is over. I felt such encouragement from the Lord who has been lifting me out of the pit of depression and confusion. I’m still not sure of exactly what He is calling me to do and I plan to reread the book for more guidance and direction. My two boys have just left home for college this year and I know He is calling me to a new place now that the full-time job of parenting has ended. I long so desperately to be the person He has created me to be and to do the things He is calling me to do. God bless you all for your faithfulness in sharing His love and wisdom.

  10. I have really enjoyed this book. I have a lot to process, but I’m excited about the things the Lord has already brought to light in my life. I have already recommended the book to a friend, and I will continue to do so in the future. Thank you for this study!

  11. This was such an enjoyable experience. Holley, your book was able to make more clear for me where my strengths lay and help me to make sure my actions are in line with those strengths. It is in peace that I will know whether or not I’m on the right path for me. I’ll be sharing this book with so many. Thanks so much for including me in this event. God bless!

  12. Thank you, ladies, for the time you took to do these videos and go through the book with us! I can definitely say that that has been an encouragement in itself. What a great closing to the book! As others have said, I’m said that it’s over – yet, I’m happy that I can continue living with the knowledge (even if not the understanding) of what God wants from my life. I love what Holley writes on page 189, “It’s not about understanding but instead about simply receiving.”

Lastly, it’s so nice to know that we “had all we need before we ever read the first page of this book!” (p. 192). What a blessing this book study has been. Praise God! 🙂

  13. I can’t say enough about how blessed I am to have been a part of this book club! I am currently in counseling for postpartum depression, and this book has been such a great companion tool! I love sitting down in front of the computer with a cup of coffee to watch the discussions. I feel like I’m sitting down with my friends:) Holley-your love and encouragement come through so clearly in this book. You are an amazing writer, and I will share this book with all the spouses in Youth For Christ.

  14. Here I am playing catch up once again. I must admit I probably wouldn’t have read this book if it wasn’t part of the book club . .not because I don’t love Holley (because I faithfully follow her blog and because her book “Rain on Me” gave me hope when I was going through a very tough time in my life) . . .Part of the reason was that I didn’t feel amazing, didn’t feel worthy. My journey for the past two years has left me exhausted after experiencing extreme heartache and a sense of feeling a failure. The path of life I was on was broken, not by me, but by someone I love. and so, I have been forced to go down a path I didn’t want to be on . ..but knew/know that it is a path God is on with me. I have needed to redirect my life and have been floundering. So, isn’t it amazing that this book came to me as I have been trying to understand exactly what I need to do? It has helped me to look at me, to see my strengths, to see a little clearer what God is doing in my life. There were so many things said, that caused me to reflect a little more honestly on God’s expectations for me – -not what others expected or what I was expecting of me. I’m not exactly sure where He is leading, but day by day He makes it a little clearer.
So, thank you – Holley, for this amazing book, and the insight you share. Jessica and Angie, for your taking time out of your very busy lives, to “do” this ministry. I love seeing your friendship (Angie, I love your laugh!). I can’t wait to hear what book is next!

  15. This book was life changing for me! I want to thank you all for sharing each chapter’s insights and encouraging us to ‘be’ the amazing women God made us to be even when we don’t see it in ourselves or forget it for a time.
I had fallen behind at the end and just reviewed the last chapter video today. I will continue to use this book as a Life Reference manual because it is chock full!!! I loved the exercises where you made us really think hard about ourself and our life to fill in the blanks. Sometimes it was hard and there are still areas I haven’t completed, but it has been very helpful. I plan on revisiting more than yearly and will share this book with my Church study group.
    God bless you!
    With love, Laura K
