  1. This may not be the most appreciated comment….but I would rather see more believers preparing for “Home for School” this fall. Parents are the BEST teachers for their children. It gives the oppotunity to truly KNOW what is being taught, encouraged, presented, no hidden agendas, nothing undermining your precious family and you caught unaware. Text books are at issue, teacher lifestyles and attitudes are at issue, influence of ungodly morals behavior, opinion upon your children are at issue. I say this as a former teacher….and before ‘things’ got as bad as they are ‘today’. You want your children to be an influence and make an impact? Teach them at home….GOD’s truth and Word….and IF that doesnt seem to be ‘witness’ and prep enough…then AS A FAMILY go to the local mall and actively witness to the teens hanging out there, or at the convenience store, or on the neighborhood playground. But PLEASE reconsider giving your children over to a system that DENIES God, changes history, says there is no truth. But, DONT send them into the schools today the way they are…..and dont continue to fall for the deception, ‘well my school isnt bad…..YET.”

  2. I DO appreciate your comment. I agree that homeschooling is a wonderful option. I was able to homeschool my daughter for one year (8th grade), and it was a year we’ll both remember well. Thanks for reminding us that traditional schooling is not the only way our readers are educating their children. PS I grew up in a private Christian school, which was a excellent experience for me.

  3. I really enjoyed this. I loved how you brought it back around to your own caring mother. Thank you for sharing a piece of your joy with me.

  4. I think it is awesome that if a parent does not have the option to homeschool, they at least have the option to equip their students with attractive school supplies that give them an opportunity to shine in the darkness! : )
