  1. I love words, too, Jennifer! Seems like I cannot create a thing without words wiggling their way into my work 🙂 Your crosses are beautiful and I like the worn, aged appearance. Makes you want to touch them.

    • Thank you Jennifer. I know sometimes silence can be so wonderful… but there is just something about SEEING words! 🙂

  2. Jennifer, I love these crosses. The colors, the words, and the textures are just beautiful. I cannot wait for more people to post their creations…since I am not the creative type, I live vicariously through other crafters 🙂

    • Thank you Angie. And I do not believe that you are not creative. 🙂 Everyone has something creative in their hearts! I can see the eye for beauty you have on your blog. That is creative!

  3. I am a lover of words and on a cross…its beautiful. There is no better place for words on the WORD yes:)? I am coming back to visit later today. I’ve got an early morning appt. but then….happy Friday!

  4. I love the aged look of your crosses. And I love words too!

Apologies – this was the first time I tried linking up and I posted the wrong thumb nail for my entry. No confusion intended.

  5. WOW! These are awesome! What a great post and meme! I would love to play but I passionately wrote about Fudge Frosting 🙂 It’s really yummy! But, just doen’st seem to fit.

    • Seeing others creating does really inspire creating ourselves, doesn’t it? That is what I love about our group meeting every week. So, so inspiring… and encouraging! 🙂 I hope you join us!

  6. I do like the new cross designs…they will be flying out of (in)courage’s shop! I am loving the new links (as always) and seeing old friends over here!

  7. Now you know I absolutely LOVE your work, Jennifer! I am thrilled that you’ve given us a peek into your studio. So cool! And I’m honored to be hosting the (in)spired deals page this month, featuring your stunning artwork!

    • You are so sweet Deidra… thank you. I am so excited you are hosing this month that is including my crosses! 🙂

  8. Love the way you describe the wood cross as a blank canvas. The finished work of Christ used to display the creative gifts he’s given you; making something beautiful and inspiring out of pain. That’s just like our Heavenly Father, isn’t it? Awesome work.

  9. Beautiful and touching as always!!!
Need to get up to date on what everyone’s been up to… things have just been chaotic around our house which means very little blog time. Hopefully this weekend I can do a little catching up. 🙂

    • Thank you Jodi! Looks like everyone has been creating all kinds of goodies! I am looking forward to visiting everyone through the weekend! 🙂

  10. Jennifer…so beautiful. You are such a leader and inspiration for me. You really are mentoring me by all that you share online. Thank you for sharing your creativity, your faith, and your ideas! Love, jodi

    • Thank you Jodi! I think we all mentor each other. I have learned so much from all of you! And I feel so blessed that HE has given me a way to inspire others. 🙂

  11. Lovely crosses and the words and backgrounds are perfect together…I’m a big lover of anything collaged. In my studio this week…I’ve done a lot of cleaning and organizing so that I can get back to creating. Sometimes it just has to be done…but I’m so glad it’s over 😉 Have a wonderful weekend. Fondly, Roberta

    • Oh yes, cleaning and organizing… I am actually do a lot of that currently myself! But when it is done it feels like you get a whole new burst of creativity! 🙂

  12. Really nice site! I think the crosses are fantastic. Do you sell them somewhere?I look forward to returning to your site to read more.

  13. Beautiful crosses. I love the way the blue is antiqued with the words. How many do you make at one time? So pretty.

    • Thank you Diana. It all depends on the order. Since there are so many steps, I like to work in manageable groups and then complete each step to the entire group before moving to the next step. 🙂

  14. Your crosses are beautiful! I’ve just discovered your Sneak Peek Friday linky. I’m passionate about cooking, and have added one of my favorite recipes.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  15. I was really struck by the plainness of the unfinished crosses. And then, as you put the pieces upon them, how they became so alive. And I think about how this plays out in our spiritual selves. God created us beautifully, just as the crosses without anything else, are beautiful. But then I think about how He decorates us, as His words take root in our hearts, and as the fruit begins to sprout, and we, too, become even more alive.

Hoping to get some drawing in today — it’s been a crazy week. Then, I can join the party!

    • Beautifully said Jen! “How He decorates us… and we become more alive.” How amazing! Looking forward to having you join the party too! 🙂
