God wins.
Its simple. Really.
We complicate it.
We wonder. We fear. Then we try to simplify again.
But that’s it.
He’s told us in red letter words, in prophets of old, and in the Hope we carry deep within that nothing can touch. . .God wins.
God wins in each small battle.
In the insurmountable odds. In the ugly. In the creation. In the end.
In an unknown territory? God wins.
Wondering how the story will end? God wins.
Wondering how your story will end? God wins.
You know Him? God won you.
Even when the worst of situations happen, filtered by the fingers that spread the heavenly tent He lives in, it disguises itself as God’s best. Why? Because, you guessed it. God wins.

You know Stephanie, you are right!
Thank you for reminding us of Bible-based TRUTH.
Adventist Pastor (and singer) Wintley Phipps once told a story in one of his sermons, a story based on the very truth you shared. Pastor Phipps told the congregation about a janitor who worked at an educational institution and often read his Bible (during break time) in the school’s gym. People would hang out in the gym practicing basketball skills when one day, one of the basketball guys noted the janitor reading the Bible and walked over to him. “Man don’t you know you need a college degree to understand that stuff?”
The janitor solemnly shook his head before replying, “I understand.”
“Really?” the college kid jeered. “What do you understand.”
The janitor looked up from the pages of His Bible and simply said, “God WINS.”
🙂
Yes! Yes, He does!
Thank you for reminding us, in and through Jesus, the victory is already ours!

LOVE, LOVE this! Simple and True!
yippee … GOD WINS … well said
This is hitting me hard right now! This reminds me of something I’ve said to my children in that “oh-so-stubborn” toddler stage: “don’t fight mama, I’m going to win”. It’s always been when they were fighting me on something that I knew they had to do for their own safety or wellbeing (we’re going somewhere, you have to buckle up in your carseat; you need your rest, it’s naptime or bedtime) or for them to learn a certain house rule that makes our household run more smoothly in the long run (you can’t walk around with that food, you can eat that at the table, so buckle up in the high chair).
Anyway, as I was reading this post I got a mental picture of God telling me in times of “training” the same thing I say to my children, “don’t fight me on this, I’m going to win.” And that He, as my loving heavenly Father, knows what’s best for me now and in the long run, even if my stubborn heart doesn’t want to acknowledge it. I’m going to be searching myself today to see where it is in my life that I’m fighting God, and pray to turn it loose, and let God win!!
Beautifully written!
AMEN!!! 🙂
Sadly, my neice doesn’t believe this. Her grandmother and grandfather died badly and she feels that believing in God didn’t help them. I don’t think it’s the manner in which you die but what you believe while it’s happening that makes all the difference.
Today-Palm Sunday. Yes, we KNOW God wins! Halleluia! HE COMES! Today we wave our palm branches–we celebrate our humble Savior, our Redeemer, our Healer.
This week- Holy Week. One marked with suffering.
We draw our strength from our Mighty God who is present despite the confounded circumstances we are in. However illogical and confusing. HE is in it to sustain us. AND He has blessed us with eachother to encourage and Love one another through it all.
Halleluia- He Comes—and Wins! May peace reign in our hearts.
Great reminder of our amazing God. Even more fun is that my last name embodies this – Godwin. 😉
I know this. My head knows it, but still I need constant reminders and clarification.
You are not the only one. Although I’m sitting here, nodding my head (and heart), I know I’ll need this reminder tomorrow, the next day, and the next day…
Love how you have taken something that has been made “controversial” and flipped it into a reminder of what is real and true. With Joy, Carey
Love. The whole thing, love it. But those last couple sentences…the visual picture they create…super LOVE.
God wins; God wins; God wins!
And that our lives would be a chorus of such truth!
Thanks so much for proclaiming it –
Teri
So simple, yet true! How often we forget and try things on our own!
Thanks for the proclamation!!!!!!
I so needed to hear this today! I am waiting to hear on job “situation.” Praying for direction, protection, and wisdom. Thank you Stephanie.
“God wins.” thank you for the simple beautiful reminder of that today.
