  1. hi all,

just as enduring something awful alone is an additional bit of awfulness, enjoying something wonderful along with others is an additional bit of “wonderfulness”.
so it’s been great to see so many persons in this book club blessed by the passages i’ve been so richly blessed by. i’ve also loved the way the comments section has been a venue for us to try and “be the blessing” to each other, and feel privileged to have been able to pray for those fighting for joy in the midst of hard trials.

the only sad part is that we’ve gotten to the end of the book. thanks so much to Angie, Jess, and co. for doing such a good job. and one last heartfelt thanks to Ann. God is the one reservoir of all goodness and grace, but He asks us to channel that goodness and grace to the parched and desert places in the lives of others. And I’m grateful “a thousand fold” that you, Ann, have done that sort of channelling for so many people—not least of all me. Love and blessings to you and everyone else who has taken part in the book club!

  2. Thanks so much for posting these videos. It was such a blessing to see Ann speaking so well about her journey of grace through this life, telling of giving thanks in the hard things, giving praise to the Lord Jesus and encouraging us to do the same. The more I see, hear, read and know of Ann I feel that she is dear soul sister in the Lord. I truly wish that I could meet her and know her better. One day heaven will be a wonderful place, together with dear Christians from all over the world worshipping our Lord and Saviour for all eternity.
Thank you dear Ann and may God richly bless you for sharing your story with us all.
    love in Christ,
    Stephie xo

  3. Enjoyed the interview with Ann very much…with my morning coffee!
    As always, such a blessing!

Thanks so much for providing this.

    God Bless You!

  4. I am so convicted to get my list started. I have always thanked God in the moment when I recognize His blessings, but I am ready to take the challenge or the “dare” to start writing them down. As Ann was speaking I was compelled to think about her journal she keeps with her at all times so she can write them down…….and isn’t that what God does….He is with us always giving thanks and blessings……
I can’t wait to get started.
    Thank you for this encouragement.
    Kindest regards,

  5. had to smile about the Happy Game from Pollyanna . .my brothers often have called me Pollyanna . ..but giving thanks has brought peace to my heart and a smile to my face, even in this difficult time of my life . .. . oh, I just wrote number 750 in my book – — waking up early and realizing I go to work late today, so I could curl back up in bed for awhile on this rainy morning!

  6. Thank you! I continue to be challenged to live my life out as a great big thank you to God! He is so very worthy!

Much love to you Ann and to each of you there at (in)courage–Tomi 🙂

  7. Thank you for sharing this interview with Ann. I need this journey reinforced as much as possible. As Ann said, everyday we must fight for joy. It surely helps to have this encouragement along the way.

  8. I saw this video when it first posted on 100 Huntley St. Then watched it again. And now I’ve watched it a third time, and I can’t, just can’t, get over how the light pours from her eyes and the joy spills from her lips and the words gilded with the conviction and experience of one who has walked this way before minister to me every. single. time.

I love her. And I’m about to begin reading The Book again…

    Thank you for posting this!

  9. Ann is an incredibly precious and beautiful gift, a thousand times and eternally so : ) x

  10. So fun to watch the interview, Ann you speak from the bottom of your heart, and it is so sincere and inspiring, and turning everything right back to Jesus. 🙂

    Blessings, sweet friend.

  11. Thanks for posting this. I’m only starting chapture 8 but it is changing my life. I’m not one to pour out my heart to others but I’ve been challenged to share what the Lord is doing in my life. I started my own blog (more like a journal) http://mysimplelifeinchrist.blogspot.com/. I’ve only done 4 posts but the Lord has used it to change my heart. If no one ever reads it I’m ok. Its a healing process in my life 🙂 Thank you for the time you ladies have put into making this book club it has touched my heart deeply!
    Love your sister in Christ,
    Faye

  12. Sweet Ann. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone who convinced me so fully that their success was all because of grace…of God. Most people say what you’re saying, “Oh, only because of God…” but I’m left not believing it. Your demeanor, your words, your book they all together convince me that you know in your knower that God has done every bit of this work for HIS glory.

A display of HIS splendor. Well done…well done.

  13. Jessica, thanks so very much for posting these videos! I’m so THANKFUL for them and for you. The Lord has blessed me BIG TIME through Ann, you and Angie too. Love, your sister-in-Christ, Jenny in VA

  14. Thanks Jessica for posting these.

I am very grateful for your encouragement, Ann, to live enjoying my children everyday… and all the the Lord is doing in me. He has done a great work in your life- my He be praised!! Thank you for sharing it with us.

    Thank you both!

  15. I also feel the need to say that in the book Pollyanna, even Pollyanna hits a wall in giving thanks, and has to do the hard eucharisteo. So Pollyanna isn’t really as shallow as the term used in our culture suggests. 🙂

    Love seeing this interview!

  16. I saw these a few weeks ago….. then I shared them on my fb.

    excellent.

Thank you, Ann….. words seem so inadequate for letting you know.. just how much you mean to me.

    OH… I am on #965…. almost to 1000!!

    much, much love
