“I delight greatly in the Lord, my soul rejoices in my God, for he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10
“Don’t flush ittttttt!”
My two-year-old held his hands high in the air as big alligator tears rolled down his cheeks, but it was too late; my forefinger had pushed down the forbidden silver handle. My heart was broke as I watched the toilet water spiral down—his proof for his daddy’s praise, gone. I immediately apologized for my hastiness and asked forgiveness as I comforted him with a mommy hug.
Crouching to his level, I peered into his puppy dog eyes. “You can show Daddy next time. I’ll tell him, don’t worry.”
Just as my son needed continuous praise and reassurance of my love, I look to God for the same gestures. As I read my Bible and listen for His Word to speak to my hungry soul, I desire a promise that God loves and cares for me. Sometimes His love comes in the form of a proverb commanding me to keep a tighter rein on my tongue. Other times it’s a poetic love scripture giving me a warm hug in the chilly morning.
Today, I savored, the words of Isaiah, I delight greatly in the Lord, my soul rejoices in my God, for he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness…
My comfort, hope and guarantee is the salvation I received through Jesus Christ. God gets down on my level nudging my soul to slip into this promise each time I am downcast. His Word sends a shooting arrow straight through my heart reassuring me of His love.
I am learning mothering lessons from God as I parent my child. I work to fill myself daily with God’s comforting words so I may soothe my son in traumatic two-year-old moments.
“Thank you, God, for showing your love to me through my son and through your Word.”
How is God showing you His love today? Perhaps you feel downcast and need a reason to rejoice. Turn to Isaiah and listen for God to say, “I love you.”

Thank you for reminding us that God Loves Us. I know in my everyday life I can get so busy I forget this one profound fact. How easy it is to forget that I am commanded to be love to others.
Blessings,

A beautiful reminder that God is always showing His love to us. You often here people say parenting doesn’t come with an instruction book but our Heavenly Father gives us all we need to know in His word and through his love for us, doesn’t he?

I’ve been praying for a jewelry business I started because of asking God for a vision of what He wanted me to do, then I had a couple of accounts that I didn’t get paid for and other obstactcles so I was beginning to doubt, then I received payment for the overdue account from last August and today just received a 50.00 check from a friend saying she wanted to sow into the business I had started to glorify God, There is a time and season for everything. I felt very loved by God knowing he not only hears our prayers but will give us confirmation to follow His Plan and direction, His timing!!Love Karen
