I’m with you, Sarah Mae! I need all of Him that I can get, too.
This encourages me tonight. Thank you so much!
Yep – I’m right here in the thick of battle. Weary, tired – they used to call it “Battle fatigue” – and this week, I’m feeling it. Thanks for this inspiration, Sarah Mae. I needed it.
thanks for this post ~ it was timely in my life.
Awesome.
What a perfect post for this Saturday morning! Your words ring so true and speak to my heart today. May you be blessed this week!
HOW TRUE, HOW TRUE!
Wow, I’ve seen a lot of this war going on this week. From myself to other bloggers that I have met (going to Relevant). The devil definitely is out to suck the Joy out of us. Thank you for this. It is a beautiful post!
And because I needed these words, needed to know I’m not alone, there were there. Thank you.
This is one of my favorite quotes, by Florence Nightingale: “Life is a hard fight, a struggle, a wrestling with the principle of evil, hand to hand, foot to foot. Every inch of the way is disputed.” We can’t give up or give in, and we have One who not only sympathizes with our struggles but also equips us with the power to be victorious. Glory to God! And thanks for a great reminder in this post. 🙂
Hi Sarah Mae!
My name is Deborah Mae! My mother and grandmother are both Maes, too. It’s great to meet another Mae.
Thank you for the encouragement today. The Lord is my refuge. My husband has been suffering from severe depression for the last 2 1/2 years. We just celebrated our 3rd anniversary. So, I know your rainbow and butterfly dream – – – not reality. I’m still hoping for babies.
My hope is in the Lord. He makes all things new. That’s what I’m clinging to.

A beautiful post and page. Thank you.
Thank you Sarah Mae – this is exactly what I needed to read this Saturday morning! I have been in the midst of a battle, and just had the thought last night that God did not say life was going to be easy, but did Promise to be there during hard times. Your message truly continues upon that same thought; how awesome! Thanks so much! God Bless~
WOW! I needed to see this today. It has been a tough week with new medical challenges and feeling attacked at every level of my existence.
God is my refuge and my strength…thank you for this gracious reminder.
Dear Sarah Mae, your post was so beautiful — it truly spoke to my heart. I am in the midst of a separation, my husband having left me and our three teenage children last Thanksgiving week. He is filing for custody of the two younger children (16 and almost 14). We went to court for the first time this week to set up a trial date, and his lawyer brought out that my husband is going to try to show I have a mental disorder (which, BTW my Christian psychologist does not agree with — only she cannot testify in court). I am so afraid of my husband, because I know that he will do anything to get control of the children, despite their not wanting to be with him. I pray and I long to be completely trusting in the Lord’s loving care. The words you wrote ring so true for me: “Do you ever just have days where you feel like you’re in a pit…a dark, dreary, deep pit? Those days. . . where you just want (need?) to crawl into a closet and sit alone in the hush
Dearest Patty,
I am praying HARD for you friend!
Reminds me of the book “Get Out of That Pit” by Beth Moore. A great read in such times as these.
This was so beautiful and inspiring! God bless you, thank you very much <3
I have been singing this a lot lately:
I need thee oh I need thee. Every hour I need thee. Oh bless me now my Savior, I come to thee.
Thanks for assuring me I have some company!
I absolutely relate! I just was reminded today about the selfishness of wallowing in my own bad mood to the point of ignoring the needs around me. Such a temptation that we must beg Jesus to help us withstand.
Thanks for sharing.
I am going to take Ruth 2:12 and tape it to my bathroom mirror so I can see it every day. Thanks so much for this post, Sarah Mae. One of my favorite things to do on days that I just don’t want to get out of bed is to imagine myself crawling up in His lap.
Right there, right now. Had to coax my son out from under the bed yesterday when I really just want to crawl under there with him. Butterflies and rainbows seem so far away. Sometimes I try to hunker down and endure when I’m supposed to be living victoriously. Thanks for pointing me back in the right direction.
Dear Sarah Mae, God bless you for your prayers — they are a treasure to me.
With heart-felt gratitude and prayers,
Patty
“It’s not even meant to be easy. Earth is the battle ground where we toil and persevere until our reward in glory.”
Well said, my friend. Beautiful post.
Following my exploration, millions of people in the world get the business loans from different banks. Therefore, there’s a good chance to get a commercial loan in any country.
