  1. This is something that bears repeating … and repeating. I have preschoolers and am working to teach them about gratitude, but it is so hard to focus on anything, but what they want that they see! And when I get frustrated that they don’t see the abundance around them, God gently points out what I am missing around me. “Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities.”
And I’m so excited to be reading the Balcony Girls – I have two daughters (4 and 2) and am definitely going to do something like this when they get older. We have a gazebo – Gazebo Girls is taking shape in my mind!

  2. What a great share! Lessons in gratitude can never start too early in life. I have been listening to stories on the radio and reading about gratitude all month. Some times I think the youngest set grabs onto the concept more easily than some of their elders … and puts it into practice more consistently once they understand it.
Thank you for taking the time to share this with us!
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. I’m so glad you are teaching thank-you note writing. My mom was very diligent with my sister and I but it seems to be a lost art, this being thankful in a written word. Bless you for passing on your thankful heart!
