  1. Love this! We have a couple similar things. I like to keep some things written on our chalkboard about what to be thankful for. And we have a thankful jar. I like “attitude of gratitude”. I may rename the jar. 🙂

  2. Love this!
    These are definitely my favorite.
Say I love you before you leave in the morning and before bed at night.
Don’t worry about tomorrow. Focus on what you are happy about today.
    Thank you for sharing this!

  3. Great Post-
We always try to think of new things to give gratitude for in our daily prayers. and I don’t think a day goes by that my hd doesn’t say I love you and what he is thankful for. I have a little journal that is at his bedside where I write to him each night little notes of thanks.
Thanks again for a wonderful post.

  4. Lovely list. Thank you.
I try to keep the “Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle” quote by Plato close at heart. It’s amazing how it changes my perspective on my daily interactions.

  5. Oh YES! Love your post with a reminder. I am with you… I have a son like yours. I call him a puddleglum. He really has a grateful heart, just likes to act like that “Eeyore.” 🙂 I saw a great suggestion from Bonita @ http://www.encouragingwordsforwriters.blogspot.com
I am going to do it this year. A box full of little pieces of paper that I write down daily things I am thankful for throughout the next year. Next Thanksgiving I will break it open and remember them with the family.
Thanks for sharing so much. Happy Thanksgiving!

  6. What a great idea. I have gotten away from my gratitude journal; and have lately been looking at the negative too much. Thank you for bringing my mind back to the attitude of gratitude. In a magazine I read today that we are to ask in our family what good thing happened to you today?
