  1. I love your post this am! Thank you for highlighting God answers our questions, our fears with perfect love! My Dad always said “God knows what you’re thinking already so go ahead & ask Him. He’s big enough to take it & He wants you to talk to Him”. Blessings!

  2. So thoughtful. And maybe we all need to see things through the eyes of children more often.

  3. I needed this today. In the church of my youth I was taught if you questioned or doubted God you were on that “slippery slope” and you weren’t faithful and would go to hell. That stuck with me for years and was one of many teachings that turned me away from God. But praise the Lord when I went to my future husband’s church I heard about God’s grace, love, and forgiveness. I know God can handle my questions.

    • I’m so glad it met you today. I’m sorry for the pain of those early years, and thank God for the most recent years of grace. May you grow ever more aware of how perfectly God loves you—and how safe you are in God’s love, Maura.

  4. Tasha, thank you for sharing this story and your thoughts with us this morning. Your son is blessed to have such a caring mom who really listened to him, and then used your own faith to answer them. The kids of today are exposed to the harsh reality of the evil that lurks around, many are left on their own to try and figure it all out. And it is not just the children who are looking for answers. Thank you for reminding us we all need to look deeper into our relationship with God, and let Him help us sort out the truth.

    • I’m so blessed to have a son who asks so many questions. May we always welcome those questions as the treasures they are. Glad you are here today, Phyl.

  5. Tasha,

We should never be afraid to ask God questions. He alone understands our fears & anxieties. By asking God we are spending time with Him in deep conversation. That will lead to deeper intimacy with Him. I sure wasn’t afraid to ask God why when mom was bedridden for 2 years with dementia. Then when dad was in geriatric psych ward of hospital I sat in lobby several times crying & asking why. He was there for me. He got me through those times. He even revealed some things to me. Go ahead & ask the hard questions.

    Blessings 🙂

    • Thanks for sharing that, Beth—and for your honesty. So glad you are part of this community!

  6. “Our fear is an invitation to step towards healing. Our questions are a doorway to humility and help. Our doubts can lead us to a deepened faith.” Do good, friend, Thank you.
