  1. Amen to that truth! Sometimes Gods creatures are more loving & caring about their offspring than many humans. We live in the country & often wild turkeys are in our field. Several months ago, two mama hens had babies. Now they often bring the chicks through our yard and across the road. One mama goes first; the other mama stands on the side of the road until every one of the chicks cross over safely. It is so cool to watch yet at the same time is hard to understand why do they treat their babies better than many humans. God help us!

  2. Chicks really are the cutest! We have hens but no roosters, so while we know about the pecking order we’ve never experienced watching a mother hen care for her chicks. Thank you for sharing this with us!

  3. Thank you! Very well said. Amazing how one of God’s animal creatures can teach the truth we need. God bless you abundantly with deeper revelations of His love for you!

  4. I love this story! After a serious infection in the wound from a knee replacement, I experienced 5 months of the Lord’s
fierce protection. My husband was not allowed to be with me or visit after surgery, yet I could feel the Lord’s love. It was a long, painful recovery, but the Lord’s grace, peace and love surrounded
me. He finally let me out of the nest, but stays close to my heart.

  5. What a beautiful and fitting analogy, Stefanie! Thank you for sharing.

  6. I loved your post today, Stephanie. When I was a little girl many years ago, I visited my grandparents farm and saw how the mother hens were with their chicks, but I didn’t know that Bible verse at the time. Excellent message! Thank you.

  7. All animals are precious to me. They are God Almighty’s innocent creations. When I was in my early 40’s it became so clear to me that I could no longer support the cruel torture and slaughter that these innocent ones endure. I have been vegetarian since then and am 70 years old now. Occasionally I still hear “But we need protein”. I smile and say, “Beans, nuts, etc.”
Thank you for this beautiful story. A dear friend of mine from church has chickens at her home and I will certainly forward this to her.
    Peace…John 14:27

  8. Thank you for sharing this revelation and the bible version psalm 91. I’m reminded and greatly encouraged. God never cease to love and protect us. Though there are times we dont realize it and we live struggling with daily cares. He can cover us with His wings and comforted with the warmth of God’s love.

  9. I needed this reassurance today and i felt strong and reassured that our God is always there with us and will hear us when we call out to Him, God bless you and yours and the chicks and their mamas.

  10. Stephanie,

God never stops amazing me how He uses ordinary animals, or other items to demonstrate His love for us. Just watch some animals, or look at nature & we can fully understand some of the stories Jesus is trying to teach us. God is constantly taking care of His creations. He is making paths for us to trod. All we need to do is learn from farm animals to trust & listen to His voice.

    Blessings 🙂
