  1. Dorina,
I wholeheartedly agree that our “foggy” seasons force us to rely on the only One who can see through the fog and can see us through. The fog of 2020 has not lifted and it calls me, with more urgency, to my Lord and Savior – the only One who can show us the way in a world that makes no sense. Joining with you in leaning into Jesus whose light pierces through the fog.
    Blessings,
    Bev xx

      • Iris:

Thank you for the development of that acronym FOG = Favor of God. This helps me, today of all days, especially when I didn’t see my paycheck in my bank account and I know I submitted it for timely processing. This helps me maintain my faith and perspective. God Bless you.

  2. Dorina,

Loving your book Walk, Run, Soar. It has such great wisdom. Especially loved the chapter about hurdles. Posted some of it to FB. We get so busy running around doing everything that we forget God. No time for prayer or personal conversation except maybe at church or in times of crisis. God will use any & all means to get our attention. He may send deep dense fog or trials to get us to slow down long enough to talk with Him. He longs for a personal relationship with us. It is out of adversity that we grow. I remember a time with my dad’s dementia/psych where he was hospitalized. It was during that time that my faith, trust & spiritual muscles were grown.

    Blessings 🙂

    • Hi Beth, Thank you for sharing about my Walk Run Soar devotional. You are helping to multiply the message! I love reminder that you gave: “It is out of adversity that we grow.” It’s not always comfortable, but it’s so true!

  3. Having lived through my own times of fog, literally and figuratively, I know it will pass. Just as the sun eats up the fog, God clears the air for me. This was such a calming reading this morning and a good reminder that the fog will lift at some point this year. It may not be this month or even next, but I believe things will get better. We just need to keep God in our hearts and pray.

    • Hi Madeline, I’m so glad these words were calming for you. I’m always preaching His truth to myself too. He meets us in the fog!

  4. Great message that I needed to hear and remember. Thank you for the encouragement!

On another note that I wrote about previously – please make your front page/posters more pleasing to the eye. They are so blah that I never save them anymore.

  5. I remember well my first encounter w tule fog driving from Los Angeles to Taft, California after living in Amarillo, Texas. It was so eerie and strange- I knew God was truly sending us to the land of fruit and nuts as my friends called it. Hey God gave us the gift of a beautiful daughter there!

  6. Nothing could be more truthful. God walked the Earth as man to understand and relate with our humanity. He overcame because he depended on his ever dependable father. He didn’t promise us a crisis free life but the assurance of his ever present help through the fog seasons of life. May we find strength in Jesus to always come out victorious. Amen.
