  1. What a great devotional! I love reading about the women in the Bible and what important roles they played throughout scripture. I’m also encouraged that they are not “perfect” women, by any stretch of the imagination, but God used them in a beautiful way to demonstrate being faithful and courageous. Thanks for such great resources.

  2. In Courage,

The Bible is chock full of women of courage. Esther, Ruth & Rahab come to mind right away. It is important for women today to be reminded of what these women did back then. In today’s world it can be hard to believe we have courage. We are just doing the mundane everyday life. Yet many of us face challenges like raising Godly children, helping old age parents, working, running households. Try being a Christian in some environments today & you get laughed or looked at weird. It is hard to stand by your convictions. This devotional sounds so great I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I want to give a copy to a good friend.

    Blessings 🙂

  31. When the email invite asking if I wanted to sign up to receive 5 days of devotional about 5 women of courage, I signed up immediately.
This is who I am and I can always use a resource and a reminder. This came on time as I have a framily (blend of family-friend) who was recently diagnosed and beginning her 2nd round of chemo for an aggressive early stage breast cancer. I forwarded her the email asking if she would like for me to send them each day. Her answer was send them on!! She loved them!! So thank you for this timely devotional!!

  41. Not to be a Negative Nellie, but this sucks big-time! I loved the 5-day devotional you did, so when you announced pre-orders through Amazon, I jumped on it. My copy is arriving today – ONE copy. Had I known that you would be offering a BOGO, I would have waited. I am one sad puppy.

    • Elaine,

Oh, I so understand that frustration. I think we can all relate to excitedly purchasing a new item, only to later find it on sale somewhere else. We definitely were not trying to do a bait and switch, just sharing the good news and opportunities as they become available. We hope that, despite your disappointment today, you love Women of Courage and are encouraged through its pages.

Thanks for being part of the (in)courage community,

  42. Just ordered 16 copies to give to the women in my bible study group! So excited to share this with them!

  43. Currently I facilitate a table for a women’s bible study. As we do an overview of the bible (Seamless), I have done some background add-ons to include women who make a difference (yes Shiprah and Puah, the young maiden who helped Naaman with Elisha, Jael, etc) and have found the response amazing. Discussion moves from Old Testament times to how we as ordinary women today can, and do, make a difference. I am encourged by these women who now choose to dig a bit deeper into scripture. And, when you offered the free five excerpts from your book, the ladies enjoyed each one. Timely, yes? God-wink for sure!

  44. I would love to win this, but if I don’t , it’s going on my reading list! I truly enjoy all of the Incourage emails, posts, devotions, etc. Thank you!

  45. I cant wait to get the book…it would be great to win, but regardless I have been so encouraged by the excerpts leading up to the book release. I have passed them on to everyone I know. I have had serious health problems for 10 years, depression, and had 2 days to live 7 months ago after my kidneys failed. I am now on dialysis and waiting for a transplant. God and the prayers of thousands have carried me giving me courage to move forward. I just cant get enough of God’s word and reading about the women of courage in the bible. I also have so many friends who are women of courage and need this too.

  46. I absolutely loved the free sampler. I look forward to reading this book. Thank you for the chance to win.

  47. I never really thought of myself as a woman of courage. Thanks for the encouragement and examples from down-to-earth women of the Bible!

  66. Hello, ladies of courage:

I cried today too. I’m a grandma raising two grandsons, 15 and 4 years old. My 15 boy is having so many trouble to be at high school. It is making me very sad. I’m still recovering from bunion surgery and struggling with my financial and strength limitations. I’m still happy.
I love the studies on women of the Bible. I pray I’ll be granted with your offer.
    God bless,

  67. I hope I’m not too late! Just trying to catch-up on my emails and would love the devotional and the candle! About to embark on a major solo adventure in my own life and I welcome all the courage possible!!!
