Hope is more than just a word—
it’s a state of being.
It’s a firm belief that
even if you don’t know how,
even if you don’t know when,
God will come through
and better days are ahead.
Life sends rain...
Hope dances in the puddles
until the sun comes out again.
—Holley Gerth

I love these cards. The picture is a perfect match with the words. It's how I feel now that I'm on the other side of grieving, wanting to hold out hope to other women. When you know what the pain feels like and also the healing that is possible, it makes you want to give that hope away so badly.
I also love giveaways! So now I'm happier than ever to have found your blog. Hee Hee. : ) Thanks for the chance to win.
I hope you feel settled from your trip soon.

I would love to receive a set of these cards! I find your blog uplifting and a source of strength as I press on in my last counseling class before my internship. This is a make it or break it course so I'm in need of compassion and spreading it forward. Thanks for the inspiration!

These past four years have been like a desert to me at times
without HOPE I could not wake up in the morning and face the challenges that lie before me
without HOPE I could not have believed that God had an alternate plan for us, and that it
would take four long years to birth
without HOPE I could not have homeschooled my child who is now labeled 'special needs'
without HOPE I could not have left her in the hands of another, and embrace other children that are not my own
without HOPE I could not have believed God's report about my child educational process, that He has a hope and a future for her
without HOPE I could not have believed that God would send us back to my family
without HOPE I could not have trusted that to get something I never had, I would have to believe and do something I never did
Hope the anchor on my soul

Hello Holley,
For the past few weeks, I have been waiting to know if my job is secure. With budget cuts occuring throughout the U.S., I have been "Holding Out Hope" while my faith is being tested. When I opened up your website today, I knew I would be ok. I not only felt encouraged, I felt inspired. Thank you for the beautiful card and thank you for being you! May God always bless you, Holley.

Hi Holley,
I am attending the "She Speaks" Conference this summer, and received an email saying that you will be there representing DaySpring. What caught my eye was that the description of what you are looking for includes "experience creating online content for a new project..." I have been keeping an online journal for about five years now, and would like to bring some of my work to the conference. Could you tell me, how should I put it together, how much should I use, and what else should I include? Thanks so much, and I look forward to meeting you!

Dear Holley,
Your words of HOPE crossed my path this morning as I was feeling quite hopeless about my sister's ongoing horrible struggle with addictions. Those words reminded me that in Jesus we do have hope in all situations even though they seem impossible to us. After reading your words, once again I prayed and gave up the situation to the Lord. This afternoon,we were informed of a hospital that takes her insurance (disability/medicare)where there is a bed available for a thirty day detox/treatment program then assisted living/guided therapy for some months after completion of the initial therapy. She is going there tomorrow. Her name is Kelly and I would greatly appreciate prayer for her. So, thanks so much Holley for your words on HOPE; they provided the help I needed to this morning to keep my faith alive to once again have HOPE and faith in Jesus to provide an answer. God bless you.
