Fabulous Mother's Day Giveaway!

Life Collection from DaySpring

Close your eyes for a moment and think of a few moments when life felt full. You know, those times when you felt as if you could simply stay foreverlaughing, loving, enjoying God's goodness.

Who was with you in those moments? For many of us, mothers, sisters, daughters and friends were near. And it's likely that a table was close by too. We say so often that the kitchen is the hub of a homethe place where relationships are nurtured, hearts warmed, and bodies fed.

Those moments matter so much because we live in a crazy, busy world. And taking time to return to full and abundant liferemembering we're created for being more than doing, for relationships more than work, for God and not ourselvessomehow puts everything else in perspective again.

The people who give us those moments are the ones who makes our lives richer, deeper, and more meaningful. And we love them for it. Jesus said He came to give us "life to the fullest" and so many times the family and friends are His hands, feet, and heart in doing so.

That's why DaySpring created the Life Collection just in time for Mother's Day. It's based on John 10:10, "I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full."

And the wonderful news is that DaySpring is letting me share it with you!

(By the way, I always wonder, "Should I blog about this?" because I'm not here to sell you stuff. And if you ever feel like I am, I hope you e-mail me and tell me to knock it off. But I consider you friends and friends don't let each other miss out on anything fabulous, right?)

This week's giveaway is two place settings from the Life Collection. Each place setting includes all four plates shown above. You'll have a set for you and a set to share! You can keep the four plates together or divide them up as four separate gifts. They can be used as decorations, set out on plate stands, or serve up your favorite food (chocolate, anyone?). I've seen the plates in person and they're absolutely gorgeous.

The plates are just part of the entire Life Collection. There are also amazing items like these...

Life Collection from DaySpring 3

You can check out the rest of the collection and use coupon code LIFE20 for 20% of your total order from DaySpring.com (and there's free shipping for orders over $50).  Please be sure to share the love by passing this along to your friends and family too!

To be entered to win the plates, just leave a comment by midnight on Saturday sharing who you would give the other set to and why. If you're a subscriber, remember to go to the site to leave a comment rather than replying to the e-mail.

The winner will be announced on Monday morning so we can ship them to you in time for Mother's Day!

Reflect one more time on those moments when life felt full...then go find a way to make another one this Mother's Day.

Sarah

My best friend is moving back to the US in a month after living abroad for almost 1.5 years. She will be finding and starting a home for herself for the first time! Her time of travel has been a process of her discovering who she has been created to be and it's been hard on her. I would give the second set to her to remind her of the fingerprint our God has placed on her heart as she begins this next season of life!

cathy davis

If I won, I would give the other set away on my blog, because that's what I like to do :-)!

RefreshMom

I'd give the second set to my sister. She's had a perfectly horrible year (the kind of which TV movies are made).

I think her heart is inching back toward the Lord and I love that those dishes would not only cheer her, but they'd be a reminder that the life she really seeks can only be found in Him.

Victoria

Gorgeous! I would give the second set to my sister, Kathy. She's been like a mother, a sister, a best friend, and now a sister in Christ as well. I can't imagine life without her, or sharing this awesome gift with anyone else!

Amy Glover

I would encourage a most phenomenal lady with the second set. She is an interceding, joyful believer who has not only been struggling with her own prodigal child, but has been given the portion of a wife who's husband has recently lost his job. In the midst of all this, it is she who remains a vessel of God's love, not only to her child and husband, but to her sisters in Christ as well. You know it's supernatural, because no man would be able to stand strong in such adversity, much less have the strength to speak life into others. He is truly working through her and she is a life messenger. The plates, though small and materialistic, would serve as a great daily reminder to her.

Kristen Hargett

I would give the other set to my sister.

She and her husband are living with my parents right now while he looks for a new job after being laid off his job and having some major health issues. Hope is on the horizon and I think a beautiful setting like this would be a wonderful gift as they start fresh. :)

Krista

I would give the other set to my mother. She has been going through some very difficult times lately as a result of divorce, and I feel she needs this reminder that she can have life to the full!

Jenny

I would give the other set to my brother-in-law's wife. She is like a dear sister to me and a wonderful mom to her children. She is gracious and encouraging to me and I would love to be able to give her this as an encouragement to her!

savannah

i would give the other set to my mother, who is a precious woman that inspires me all the time.

i might just have to purchase a few to give to friends, they are beautiful!!

Amy @ By His Grace

If I won, I'd give the other set to my sister-in-law, Liz, who had to wait until she was 39 to have her first and only child.

Sara

I would give the other set to my sister. She has had a difficult life, but has had amazing trust in the Lord through every situation. She is truly my role model and best friend.

Heather Gemmen Wilson

My walking partner, Jill, is one of the most gracious people I know. She has such a positive outlook about life even though she is carrying a heavy burden. Her husband suffers with chronic back pain and this has drastically changed their lives from active participation to heart-breaking loneliness. She is also a caregiver to all her friends—especially her lifelong friend whose first daughter died of MS after a vivacious life of serving others, and whose second daughter is drawing close to the same fate. Jill appreciates every moment of life that is given to her despite her circumstances, in part because she has learned from this family how precious life is. Without hesitation, this set would go to Jill, and the other set to her best friend. They both need encouragement.

Mandy

I would give the second set to my mom who always made it a priority to have family dinner for us every night while I was growing up. I remember one night specifically when cheerleading practice was especially emotionally draining, walking in the front door, smelling her veggie soup and oatmeal biscuits cooking and knowing that I was 'home'. Her kitchen table and family conversation were always my safe place to land.

kristin morris

If I won this giveaway, I would give the other set to an amazing Bible study leader I've had for the last 5 years. She has led a group of young mothers, prayed for us, and encouraged us weekly in Christ. She has been very transparent and honest about her own mothering journey, never claiming to have all the answers, but always searching for - and pointing us to - the One who has all the answers. The bright, cheerful design reminds me so much of her, and I'd love to honor her with it this Mother's Day!

Diane

The second set would go to my best friend. She's done an incredible job as a single mom raising her son and daughter to follow the Lord, not only in their own lives, but to want that for their own families. She has the joy of taking care of some of her grandkids regularly, and is a shining example to them of the joy of the Lord.

Nancy Stewart

I would divide up the plates between my three daughters because thy are all young mothers and raising very special (8) grandchildren. The daughters are very special parents that work very hard to make sure the grandchildren have good meals and that they know God personally.

Beth Parrett-Hardee

I would give both sets away.
One to my sister Penny, a pastor's wife who is always entertaining guests on Sunday afternoon.

The second set would go to my mother who has just survived some serious illness this past year.
She loves dishes!! What an inspiration these "Life
Collection" dishes would be for her!!

Then, I'd buy a set for myself!!

kelly

Oh they are beautiful!!! I have loved reading your blog!!! I would share mine with my daughter, she is just 7 but she always sets a beautiful place setting for me, and she tells me over and over how I am her best friend and I make her smile, she says that we both signed a contract to be in the LOVE club and we are in it forever, I think that is so cute.
Thanks for being so down to earth Holley! You are a blessing!

Connie

Mrs. H

I would give the second set to a precious lady who is such a great encouragement to my (youth pastor) hubby and I. She is very involved with our ministry and is the first to turn things to the Lord for help.
The set is gorgeous. I like this line, as well as the many others you give away/recommend!

Bobbe Brooks-Fischle

She is a 92 yr old Afro-American, who was an intergrationist for the Federal Govt. and I was a white segregationist from the Deep South. She took me under her wing & loved me as her "adopted daughter." Through Sardie's love-- God taught me that His love is matchless & color blind.
(I would share with Sardie. Like all "Girls"--she loves pretties.)

Karen

I'd give the extra set (or maybe both!) to my daughter-in-law. They are just her style. She is beginning to get their home put together and she loves entertaining.

Lyn

I would give the second set to my daughter. The settings remind me of her exhuberance for life and her joy in the Lord. I can picture us sitting down together and each of us excitedly bringing out our own set to join together in a time of fun and always good eating!!

Jennifer

I would give the other set to my mom. She has done so much for me and always been supportive. I feel I just can't thank her enough!

Cindy G

What a gorgeous, meaningful set! I would definitely give the set to my beautiful daughter-in-love. The answer to prayers we prayed for her beginning when our son was born, she is a rich and perfect compliment to him - she is physically beautiful - but even more so - she is filled and overflows with the fruit of the Spirit. She is kind, considerate, patient and inclusive. She makes a place for everyone, but especially for her father-in-law and me! The mother of four incredible children, she looks after her household, works part-time outside her home and blesses her husband, honoring God and enriching every life she touches. With joy, I would share this gift with her - even as she shares her gifts with me.
